We are a small no-kill home-based shelter in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Jamaica Plain and a network of loving foster homes, friends, sympathetic veterinarians and feline rescuers, working to reduce the number of homeless cats in our backyards and on our local Boston streets. We believe that no one has the right to judge (as many shelters do) who is deserving of his or her own life. We euthan

ize only when a veterinarian concludes an animal is terminally ill with no hope of recovery. We are not staffed during the day, we receive no state, city or federal funding, we are all volunteers who give our time and money for love of the animals. We all work paying jobs during the day and care for the animals every evening. We use many private foster homes, so potential adopters must be screened first and come by appointment only. All adoptions involve completing an adoption application, vet and/or personal reference checks, and a nonprofit adoption fee which helps to recover our costs, and supports our work. Adult cat: $200.00-already neutered/spayed,combo-tested, vaccinated. Kitten: $225.00-includes spay/neuter (whether already done or to be done before 6 months of age), combo-test, rabies & distemper vaccinations. Dogs/Puppies:$depends

We have a donation bin located at the Pet Supplies Plus in West Roxbury (1665 VFW Parkway). We are always in need of food, litter and toys! Check donations can be sent to:

Smokey was abandoned in Hyde Park being fed on the street for almost a year by a librarian there. At first he was shy and fearful-didn't know where he was or why. Now look at him!

After a brief setback and a night in an incubator at Angell with hypothermia and dehydration, my little darling is hopefully on her way to a full recovery!

ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS CONDITION IS?

Poor sick little one. Took a group of great people to get him to the help he needed. Now we must get his siblings and get his mother spayed so she won't have any more litters outside!
