Our cemetery care takers found this last night when they were cleaning up for the holiday. We have not sprayed it with anything yet, wanted to know if someone would be interested in removing them before they are destroyed.

The lighter calico is approximately 3 1/2 the other 2 are litter mates and will be 6 in December. They are all litter trained and very loving. All 3 are spayed.

I realize that I have not been on top of answering your messages or trapping every where I do still do just not as much and not as many or not as fast. I have actually been busy with doctor appointments and tests and stuff and now I’m scheduled for a heart catheterization on Monday. I will still help as much as I can when I get some repairs done to some wore out parts.

I am looking for someone who has some time to help me set up a play yard for the kittens here at the rescue. I plan to use the kennel panels I have and reinforce them with chicken wire. I will also need a ramp for them to use from the window to the ground. I have bamboo here that can be used to help hold a roof netting to protect them from owls and hawks. Nothing is really heavy but it would be alot easier for me to have extra hands.

I was asked to help this kitten today, I got a hold of Leslie Hicks and Whitney McMillan for help. After help arrived it was not a pretty sight. The kitten was very likely hit by a car and mainly skinned, broken leg and a strong smell of infection as flies were attacking it. Still very fistie a trap was needed to soon end this babies suffering. It was brought to my attention this kitten belongs to a colony of 20 plus cats living on the streets of Altoona. TNR is a must to end this type of suffering !!!!

When I get cats surrendered to me I try to determine if they are feral or just scared. If I think they will require more time to calm down if they decide to I place them in my sanctuary. A very well insulated one room building with 300 feet of chain link fence 8 foot high with a cat proof lol fence added. I am the only person who goes in, I feed, water and clean this myself. The first cats placed in this area this spring have adjusted to me being the human who takes care of them. They yell at me through the fence when they want me to bring them food or water if they think I have forgotten them. As time passes once in awhile one will decide to take a chance and let me pet them. If this happens a few times I move them to the cattery as adoptable to the right person. I have moved 4 cats so far in the 3 months. Tonight my longhaired black beauty has let me pet him and he just loves it lol fingers crossed he will be moved soon

I will never understand people. A woman brought a cat into the humane society to surrender. When the girls brought it back to be kenneled she got bite and the other girl got scratched so they returned the cat to the woman who brought it in and they told her they would not be able to take a unfriendly animal. Later that day they called to ask if the humane society would put the cat down. When they were told no they said they were going to have to dump the cat on a farm. Some how they got my name. They had an appointment with a vet to have the cat killed. They canceled the appointment because I said I would take the cat. Today I got a call from the lady that now wants a tour of my rescue before they bring the cat.

Worked all morning in the cattery with Carol Miller and Barbara Gordon. I got first out of 3 worming done and revelation on the ones that are old enough. Distemper and second worming tomorrow. I came in to the house to find a big mess of chewed up everything from the board puppy that is tall enough to steal things from the sink and counter. I started cleaning up the mess and I found a died mouse in my bed!!! Where the hell did that come from the dog or the cat???

I finally got my cattery floor done yesterday before the heat got to bad. This heat is really draining my energy batteries dry. I had a adoption last evening but my kennels are still full of sweet cats and kittens so I’m going to be doing distemper shots and worming and revelation treatments this morning and I hope to get some more pictures of my new ones soon.

I set up a fan for one of my kennel rooms today and I got all 8 kennels cleaned up, clean bed clean litter box and fresh water and food. After a short break I went and repeated my work in my second kennel room. I had 3 kittens at 12 weeks old surrendered and one adopted before I got them settled. This evening I had 3 longhaired calico females a longhaired tuxedo male and their 4 month old longhaired kittens surrendered The plan was to sweep and mop through the cattery tonight but my back is telling me I am putting the plans off until tomorrow morning

My life this time of year is really crazy and I can’t help but to start thinking about when it snows so I can get a break. But then I get bored and sad when I don’t have things to keep me busy so here I am HAHAHA I have been doing this hoarding job and I have brought home 6 so far. I also have 12 litters of kittens plus all my adults in the cattery and my sanctuary. The best news of today is friends of a friend came from Philly and adopted 2 of my boys today. Indoor only cats and their only job is to want love 24/7.

Okay I need a people break. I have been trying to help as many as possible but it’s still not enough. Someone came after 7 Wednesday night with out an appointment for me to take a cat she found but couldn’t keep I agreed to take but I had not set a date. She said she was here knocked on my door but I was not here, I was home and I have a puppy that hears things I don’t and neither of us heard anything now she won’t answer me and tell me what she did with the cat!!! I am not open 24/7 I work hard all day. Now I promised to take a litter of kittens in, the woman agreed to deliver them I waited twice as long as she needed to bring them, I messaged her and she said she was here again I didn’t hear anything my husband didn’t hear anything and the puppy didn’t hear anything. So I was going to try and set up a time to meet tomorrow between cleaning the cattery with a volunteer down, checking my traps at the hoarding place and being here for a adoption of 2 cats for people coming up from Philly. Last night another girl got mad because I couldn’t drop everything and run because she found kittens in the barn!! I am thinking “ get in line honey, everyone is finding kittens, I have 14 litters here that need fed water cleaned and meds!!!”

Sitting here at another hoarding job. I thought I would just net the cats out of the garbage but they have tunnels in under the 4 ft of garbage. I am going to trap outside!!

I had a 4 female 10 male clinic this morning. I had a male brought to me by a friend and I had a male in quarantine. I had a message about a female who needed to be seen and I had my friend trap a cat in Martinsburg. I grabbed a female out of the cattery. I had 2 people scheduled to come with females, neither showed up. What a waste of time

I worked at getting 2 weeks of cattery laundry washed in my wringer washer dry out on the line and folded I cooked a beef heart, tongue 2 pounds of liver and 8 pounds of hamburger Saturday and chopped it all up and mixed with lysine protein and probiotic powder filled 3 containers for the dogs and feed the rest to the kittens and cats in my cattery. Today I cooked another 6 pounds of hamburger and 2 family packs of boneless skinless chicken breast mixed protein probiotics and lysine in with it for 2 meals for the dogs and the rest went to the cats and kittens. I love the weather lately getting work done.

This is Martin he was a very mean feral cat who was trapped in Martinsburg by Jennifer Simington Stapleton. I took him straight to my vet, had him neutered and given all his shots and treated him for parasites and brought him home. He has calmed down 100% now he runs to the fence to get his share of loving when the other cats do. I think he’s so cute!!!

2 momma cats pulled off the wet cold streets this spring to have their babies in a warm dry safe environment. Now they’re big enough to be adopted and have a good life my husband brought them home to me today, 9 kittens and 2 moms. A little spicy but easy to fix into loving family members. Pictures soon to follow!!!

Charity helped me to place 2 igloos and 2 dog houses in my sanctuary for feral cats and removed the dog crates that had been used for shelters outside the building. 3 of them are now in place for the garbage men to take. If you have any use for them help yourself but they will be gone Wednesday afternoon.

My daughter asked us to delete my post or delete the picture of my granddaughter because she knows someone whose baby’s picture was used in a po*******hy way. I am so upset that I can’t show off my pride and joy because this world is full of sick people!!

Tuna was adopted Friday after being a mommy and then getting spayed last Thursday. I am very happy that she got a great home.

Another busy day yesterday. Barbara Gordon came out and pressure washed for 4 hours and I worked on washing cat laundry in my wringer washer and vacuuming the front porch. Today had a heart doctor appointment and then I went to a couple trapping jobs in Everett. I brought home 2 momma cats and 6 babies and 3 cats. Feed and watered and got them settled and then I took 3 cats to my vets. One had a stroke and full of fluids and her heart was not functioning properly another one had a stroke and had been bite in her back feet causing infection and maggots so both were put down. The third needed some grooming done and a physical examination showing he is an elderly man who has his heart pushed out of place and only one kidney working. I brought him home with hopes that he will have some time left for lots of TLC.

I had a lady call me back in December asking me for help with trapping and removing cats from her property in the snow shoe area. Since she is 2 hours away from me I posted for help with the job. I received help with her feeding them but no one offered to help with trapping. When I left here Friday morning I drove to her home first and set up 10 traps. She said she would watch them so I continued to my home town to see my family a total of 6 and a half hours driving. I went back to her home on my way back. I only got 2 grown females and 3 raccoons. A good example of why I can’t help by myself. She has 3 litters of kittens and 8 cats still. I am willing to take care of them here in my sanctuary I just need some help with the trapping and transport
