Just a bit of an update on the piglets. We are keeping a close eye on the temperature and making sure everyone stays warm and toasty. Winter is unrelenting.
I rescue guinea pigs locally and sometimes from a little farther away. I've also begun breeding skinny pigs.
Being impossible to find in the state of North Dakota, I thought it was important to bring these unique exotic pets to our area.

Its been a rough couple months here. Both babies have since passed away. Also since our weather tanked here in ND over the past week, and due to a malfunctioning space heater, we've lost four skinny pigs. Three of those were just today. :( The -50 windchills just dropped their room temperature enough to where they could not recover from it. My 6 remaining hairless pigs have changed rooms and a new heater has been put in. All the furry pigs are just fine.
Unfortunately the smallest of the two piglets passed away this afternoon. He was just too tiny.
Mama says just don't stop bringing those veggies! It's hard work raising twins!
Two little Thanksgiving turkeys born today from mama pig.
Anyone looking for baby skinny pigs keep an eye out. She should be having them pretty soon!
Just some happy piglets in a pile of hay!
When people hear that you live with 34 Guinea pigs, whether they work at a pet store or just simply friends, they assume a lot of things. They think of stacked dirty cages or maybe bugs or hoarders even because they have seen that on tv or online.
Yes I have 34 pigs in my care and I can tell you that none of them are deprived of anything. With over 40ft of enclosures that take up the entirety of one large finished basement space that is temperature controlled- no one is crowded. Take a look.
Furry girls plus King in one and skinny girls in the new cage. Maybe there will be less bickering now. King approves.
We are growing by one more cage. Another 6 footer will go in to hold some of the girls from the cage next door. That will make our 18ft cage a bit less crowded. Also,at this time, I have decided to put a hold on taking anymore pigs in order to focus on caring for the 29 we have now. Thank you for understanding.
These girls are from Minot, North Dakota! It was a 400 mile round trip and 100% worth it! We're glad to have them. Cage expansion coming soon...
A few new developments for today. LPP acquired two new residents! Harley and Charley. One is a werewolf and the other is a sweet little silver and white abby who was born with a missing eye. She looks like she's winking all the time!
I also received something I ordered today. With a room full of 30+ guinea pigs, even with regular cage cleaning, there's bound to be stink. I ordered a Critter Zone Air Naturalizer. It claims to give indoor air the energy to clean itself as well as outdoor air.
So far so good, I'll try to update as I can on if it lives up to the hype!

This little sweet pea is Darla and she's the newest member of our herd of ladies! She comes all the way from Fargo. After a little time to settle in, she will join the rest. :)
All the piglets have been moved to their new space! Here's a look at their new digs!
The first and second car load of cages. And that's only 7 pigs. 21 more to go!
Its been a long awaited and anticipated move. Progress is being made on our new location across town. A new larger space and brand new cages are being built to accommodate the 28 piggies in our care! Theres still work to do, but I'm excited to see in in real life rather than just my brain.
The 2 newest members of the herd! These guys are super sweet and mellow. They were spoiled and very loved, but unfortunately allergies are a terrible thing. Meet Nico and Ozzy.
This girl knows comfort when she sees it.
Here are photos from today of prospective breeding hairless pigs.
Looking to begin breeding again. Any interest in either skinny pigs or skinny carriers or regular guinea pig babies in the upper midwest?
Its been a minute since Ive posted an update.
So since bringing home four boys from my trip to Mankato, I ended up with a few surprises. The original duo "Ren and Stimpy" turned out to be "Jen and Stimpy" with a piglet bun in the oven. When Jen gave birth I separated Stimpy and he was a bit lonely. I decided to try and pair him up with one of the baby boys I also came home with. Surprise #2...one of that pair also turned out to be a girl. Fool me twice...tsk tsk.
Anyhow moral of the story...double triple check those genders people. Don't count on pet stores to get it right.
Here's how its all turned though...Three baby girls together (two from a previous litter), mama and baby together, and finally Stimpy got a new buddy. Phew...
This weekend we will be making a journey to adopt 2 little werewolf skinny boys from Mending Spirits Animal Rescue in Mankato, Minnesota. Can't wait to meet these guys!
A picture taken of a guinea pig is always a picture worth sharing!
This is Winnie and Gordo. These two handsome hairless boys are skinny pigs. Gordo is the dalmation and Winnie is the self black. Skinny pigs are mostly hairless and benefit from having fleece to suggle in.
Another Thursday means another cage cleaning! Here's a short tour of the main pig room. There are 9 girls in the first cage, 2 boys up in the loft, followed by 3 separated boys. Then another pair of boys and a lone Beefcake down below. Although some boys are better separated, they still have the company of their neighbors.
If you, or anyone you know is interested in adopting a pig, or pair of pigs, I have plenty to choose from. I have some pairs of boys that would make great companions! PM me

Kids grow up so fast! Two sows and one boar ready very soon! Make them a part of your family! Currently in ND...58401.
This guy is soon ready for his new home! Please send message for more information!
This is Lucy Caboosey. She got that name recently before she gave birth to 4 beautiful babies. We drove to Southern South Dakota for her and her sister who also had a baby a month and a half ago. She's coming up on a year old.
This guy is Scooter. He's around 3 years old. He and his mom (who has since passed) was picked up 45 minutes away because previous owners no longer wanted them. He was terribly adorable when he was tiny.
Day #2 Piggy Spotlight
These ladies are sisters (see the resemblance?). They were a gift for a holiday though I can't remember which one..maybe Christmas. Peppermint and Mocha are their names and they are 4ish years old.
Let's start with Poppy. Our profile picture. She came from the West Acres mall in Fargo. Just look at that floofball!! She's between 3.5 and 4 years old. She is also a mother to 2 of the boys that I have. (We will meet them another day).
Here's my big plan. Each day I'm going to feature a different piggie and tell about their stories.
Pigtopia!
Cage cleaning day means happy piglets! These babies will be three weeks old this weekend!
I thought I would start up a page following and featuring my herd of 27 piglets.
