Good luck deer hunters during the 2024 season! With it starting at noon on November 8th, it's best to get your trophy to a taxidermist within a day. If that's not possible the cape should be clean, cool to the touch, and folded into a plastic bag then placed in a freezer. Feel free to share this information.

For questions or to drop off call/text me at 701-320-1382.

Caping Instructions:
1. Cut around the mid section of the deer start at V of the sternum/chest.
2. Cut around the knee of the front leg.
3. Starting behind the knee of the leg begin cutting up the line where the white and brown hair meet. Avoid cutting into the arm pit when you reach the elbow. Continue cutting behind the elbow up to the chest wall. When you hit the chest wall cut straight back to the mid section cut.
4. Begin skinning to the head. Take your time, especially when skinning in the arm pit area, legs, and the front of the chest.
5. Stop skinning 5 inches behind the head. Remove the head.

Good luck pheasant hunters during the 2024 season! With it starting October 12, the best birds to mount are those harvested during the late season. That time starts end of October beginning of November. This means the birds have minimal to no pin feathers which helps produce a quality mount.

*Care instructions after harvesting your bird:
1. Let it rest and cool down for 3 - 6 hours (Depending on outside temperature)

3. Place the head on the back of the bird
4. Wrap the bird in a plastic bag and place in freezer.
