COURTESY POST:

“King is a 3 yr old Olde English Bulldog/Aussie mix, 65 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on everything at the vet. He is potty trained and kennel trained. He also does great free roaming the house while I'm gone when my other dog isn't home. They don't always get along so I don't let them free roam together. I make sure to not leave any food out though when he is free roaming. I also have a fenced yard and he loves roaming around out there. He is very active and loves fetch and running with the kids but also a big cuddle bug. He sometimes thinks he is a lap dog. He has not been around cats ever and not much around big dogs, so I'm not 100% sure how he would do. I would recommend no small dogs, he has gotten jealous a couple times of my smaller guy and they got into a tussle. He is great with kids! My nieces and nephews love playing with him. I'm in Horace but would be willing to travel with him for the right fit. Letting him go is very hard for me so ultimately I want him to go to someone who will love him as much as I do.”

If you are interested in giving King a loving home or have any questions, please contact Jeanine at 612-267-3973.

*Please note that this is a courtesy post and the pet is not available for adoption through JRHS. Courtesy posts are posts we make to help rehome pets when we are full at the shelter. Please contact the phone number listed in the post with any questions!

Ronnie came to us back in June from another pound in ND when his time was up. He has had a few families express interest, but none that worked out - until tonight! Ronnie met this loving family last weekend and they both fell in love with each other - the family with Ronnie, and Ronnie with them (ESPECIALLY with his new baby)! He has 3 kiddos to grow up with and two kittens to “mother” at his new home!

Congratulations, Ronald McDonald! Live your best life, goofball! 🐶❤️

COURTESY POST:

“This is Nova. She’s a black and white 5 year old female purebred pitbull. She’s fixed but not up to date on her shots. She gets anxious around other dogs so I’d recommend to be in a house with no other dogs she’s not familiar with and she wasn’t raised around cats so she’s not friendly with them. She’s great around kids with any age and loves to play and be involved with everything they do (my kids are ages 10, 7, and 5). She is house trained, potty trained, and loves to chill out and take naps. Shes always down for walks and loves to go on car rides sticking her head out the window. My fiance moved down to South Dakota, where I’m currently living right now, but we would be willing to drive to Bismarck, ND if anyone is interested.”

If you are interested in Nova or have any questions, please contact Darius at 701-471-5287.

*Please note that courtesy posts are posts we make to help rehome pets when our shelter is full. If you are interested in the pet, please contact the number listed in the post, as we do not have the pet in our care nor do we know anything other than what is already in the post 🐶

UPDATE: Gunner is pending his new home!

COURTESY POST:

“It is with heavy hearts we must make this post. Our big ole Gunner Guy is the biggest baby there is. He is sweet and kind and great with kids, cats, and other dogs. However, he and his son can no longer be around each other, and his son is trying to assert dominance. As much as we wish we could keep them together, it is unmanageable as we don’t want to see either of them hurt or worse. Gunner will be 6 on 12/31/2025, he is house trained, neutered, and up to date on his shots. He loves ear scratches, belly rubs, butt scratches, being brushed and any attention you can give him. He loves to play catch, run around outside, and car rides. He has slowed down a little now that he is getting older, but he still has a lot of go in him. He really is a wonderful big pup, but we must do what is in the best interest of him.

We are not asking a rehoming fee, and he comes with a few bones he loves to chew on. We just want him to go somewhere that he is loved as much as we love him.”

If you are interested in or have any questions on Gunner, please call or text Amanda at 701-936-1335.

*Please note that courtesy posts are posts we make to help rehome pets when we do not have room at the shelter. If you have any questions or are interested in the pet, please contact the number on the post, as we do not have the pet in our care nor do we know anything other than what is already posted 🐶

COURTESY POST - URGENT ‼️

Red & Malcom - BONDED (Malcom is getting a haircut tomorrow)

Red is a spayed female Caucasian Shepherd/Chesapeake mix, 10 years old. She is due for her booster shots. “She is very sweet with people and loves to cuddle, but she has aggression issues with other animals. After years of trying training, working with vets, and making adjustments at home, we have had to accept that she needs a new home. Red does do great with our male poodle, Malcolm. He is neutered and needs his shots updated as well. The two of them have been together their entire lives and cannot be separated. Red cannot be inside with our two other dogs or our cat. Her aggression has reached the point where, if given the chance, she will charge through a door or gate to attack our other dogs if she happens to see them. We do not know how she would react around birds, livestock, or extremely young children, as she has only been around our kids, the youngest of whom is seven.

When Red is with people, she is incredibly affectionate. She used to sleep in our bed and cuddle all night, and she is happiest when she can be close to someone she trusts. Unfortunately, with our move and six kids at home, we cannot provide her with the care, space, or attention she needs. We are willing to travel to make sure they go to the right home.

Not asking a rehoming fee just want them in a good home. Moving Dec 1st so we're desperate.

Located in Watford City.”

If you are interested in Red and Malcom or have any questions, please reach out to Dawn at 701-421-5174.

*Please note that courtesy posts are posts we make to help rehome pets when we do not have room to take them in at the shelter. We do not know the pets or information other than what is in the post. Please contact the phone number listed above with any questions or if you are able to help!

Looking for a new best friend, but worried he/she might be lonely while you’re at work? We have a very friendly bonded-pair available for adoption! 🐶🐶

Karma and Kasper came to us a couple of weeks ago after their owner abandoned them with their roommate and moved out of state 😞. Both dogs are now fully vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed/neutered.

Karma (German Shepherd) and Kasper (Border Collie/Lab mix) are both just a little over 1 year old, and are very friendly and smart - they both love to learn! Karma is an amazing listener and is extremely anxious when apart from her brother. Kasper tends to get a bit destructive when separated from his sister.

Both doggos appear to do well with other dogs and LOVE everyone they meet. They are very well-socialized with people, but could use some work on manners (they both get excited and a bit jumpy, especially Kasper). We have not cat tested them yet.

If you are interested in giving both Karma and Kasper their forever home together, please fill out an application below:
