EDIT: the other dog running around with him has been caught (by the apartments across from IDK) and is also at the shelter, safe and warm now! Both are very sweet, but have frost bite on their paw pads. The brindle and white one has minor injuries on his head and ears. Please message us if these are your dogs!!

This dog was found out by the reservoir. If you know him or who he belongs to, please message us! He’s pretty red from the cold and the kind people that picked him up said he jumped right into their vehicle to warm up. They also said that they were told that he was running around with another dog, but they were not able to find that other dog. He has to belong to someone, as he appears to be neutered and potty trained. He is safe and warm at JRHS currently.

Proof of ownership is required if he is yours (photos or vet records, please!).

COURTESY POST

(This dog is not available for adoption from JRHS - we are just helping to find her a good, loving home).

“Stella loves to play, gets along really well with other animals, loves to play with cats and dogs. Very gentle, loving, and doesn't like to be left alone. She loves walks, is very energetic and she's trained to sit, stay, and go outside. She's a huge lover and protector of family and friends.” She does have her vaccinations, but is not spayed yet.

If you are interested in Stella, please message us and we will get you in contact with her owner.

Hermey came to us from the city pound only last month. Just a couple days after he arrived at the shelter, we noticed he wasn’t acting like a normal ~1 year old dog. He became sick very quickly with what we now know was an Addisonian Crisis. He was hospitalized for over a week at his vet receiving treatment before he was diagnosed with Addison’s Disease. He is still able to live a long, happy life with his special food and medication. The vet tech that led his care and treatment fell in love with him, and him with her! There were a few obstacles to overcome, but today, Hermey finally got to go home with his new mom!

Thank you Dr. Dawn's Pet Stop for saving Hermey and taking care of him when we couldn’t! And thank you to his foster family for fostering him while we worked to get his application approved!

Congrats, little Hermey! Live your best life, sweet boy! 🐶💕

COURTESY POST - Buddy is not available for adoption from JRHS - we are just helping find him a good home!

From Buddy’s rescuer:

“I rescued Buddy from the pound due to his time being up the end of September. At the time we were told he was around 4 and good with animals. We have no history on him, all I know for sure is he was very skinny and out on his own for several weeks. He is OK with our mini dachshund (however our dachshund is NOT a fan), Buddy is NOT good with cats, which we discovered when he went after our cat. We also learned that our toddler is also not a fan of larger animals and he is petrified of Buddy, even though Buddy is gentle with him. Buddy is definitely still young, no older than 2, he gets major zoomies, which also has resulted to our toddler being knocked over, making him even more afraid.

Buddy has separation anxiety and he can escape crates. He can also jump our 5ft fence, he might be better with a 6ft privacy fence. The seperation anxiety has also been an issue, as we are a very busy family with four boys, two in sports and our 7mo old has heart issues so we are frequently at his cardiologist in Bismarck.

Buddy does know basic commands (sit, stay, paw, leave it, drop it, load up, down, and off). He is house trained and since I rescued him, he is up to date on his shots and has been neutered. I am continuing to work with Buddy on these issues and also not jumping up on counters or tables to steal food. 🤦‍♀️

I really think he will make someone an amazing dog, he is a great cuddler, he thinks he's my shadow, he loves car rides, and walks great on a leash. Unfortunately, he is just not a good fit for our family and in reality, I rescued him knowing it would be temporary...just being a pitbull lover/advocate, I couldn't stand by and let him die.

Please help find him an amazing home with older kids and/or other dogs for him to run and play with. I will gladly provide any other information needed, I just want him to find a loving forever home.”

If you are interested in Buddy, please message us for more information!
