Day four for the advanced camp. We learned how to line a horse. We learned how to ground drive a horse. We put up our tent, and we went for a night ride. We watched a movie under the stars and we ate pizza, watermelon, and popcorn. We watched part of the olympic eventing and show jumping. What a great day!!!! 💕😎🙏

Day three was epic. We had a guest instructor. It's always great to get fresh eyes. I even got up on my big horse. Doc has been laid up with an injury for a year. It felt so good to ride him and see him jump. He seems good to go. 🙏😎💕 Joan Hamblin

Day one of our advanced camp, and we worked really hard in the arena and then walked on the trail. We had a lesson in hoof care from Alana. We had a lesson in how the bridle and bit feels to your horse. Great first day 😎💕 Tecate Horse Rescue

Well, the best thing about Day 4 was these kids. It was hot. Really hot, but we made it work. This is red light green light. Teaching start, stop and rating your horse, we do it with flags just to make it more interesting. We did bobbin for apples again and we played red light green light through the sprinklers. Not to forget the puppies. They were in the pool too! All in all a great day!💕😎

Day three! It's hot. How many ways can you integrate water into a horse camp? After we rode, we went bobbing for apples. Puppies in the pool too! Water guns to sq**rt particiants during the sit up challenge and having the dog fetch in the pond. We managed to do the parts of the horse worksheet too. Busy, great day!! 😎💕🙏

We had a great second day! Everyone made progress!! We rode, did an art project, and then we beat the heat with water guns and a wading pool! After we cooled down we did parts of the horse and we had a sit up challenge on the horse. Olivia blew the doors off the record with 400 situps!!!! Amazing. Great day. Can't wait for tomorrow!!!💕😎🙏

Yesterday was the first Gymkhana under the new Jamul Community Riders at the arena next to the St. Pius Catholic Church. We had so much fun. Caroline rode Ruby, her new rescue. The two of them won the sit a buck challenge. Amber took my Burt. Everyone made huge improvements over the last time we showed. We had several students come and watch.
