Moon, a beloved dog who brought joy to her family, passed away peacefully at her favorite beach on her 22nd birthday. With the salty breeze in her fur and the sound of the waves in her ears, Moon spent her final moments in the place that brought her the most happiness. Surrounded by her loving family, Moon crossed the rainbow bridge, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories.

Beautiful Aussie girl available at Bonita animal shelter!

We just met this sweetheart and others at the Bonita shelter. She is the type of Aussie who takes a minute to know you but then melts your heart and you feel like you have known her forever. She is one in a million! If you have the time and ability to work with this young lady, she will be even more AMAZING!

It was an amazing day at Dog Days of Summer Mega-Adoption event at Grossmont Center yesterday! We got the opportunity to meet many of the people so dedicated to caring for and finding loving homes for these pups and kitties, and of course just being around so many lovable critters, big and small, is such a blessing. Looking forward to the next Mega-Adoption event in October!

Dropped by the shelter in Bonita today, they have some beautiful Siberian Huskies for adoption right now! Woofie's of Northeast San Diego would like to offer anyone living in our service territory who adopts one of these Huskies a free first groom!

We are also checking with the shelter administration if we might officially partner with them to support adopters, stay tuned!

We are DESPERATE..... SO ASKING AGAIN:(

Our Dogs NEED you and we NEED help. A Way Home for Dogs, Inc. is kennel based in Jamul (East County/Rancho San Diego) and our pack needs daily cleaning, walks and socialization. You can be a key part of teaching these dogs people are safe, life is full of love and the work is worth the treats. We ask a minimum of one day a week regular commitment because our dogs need to build and gain trust through regular interactions and presence in their “safe place”.

If you have a few hours (minimum 2-4 hours required) to spare any day of the week between the hours of 8am to 1pm or 6:30p-9:30p ( 1-6:30 is quiet time for the dogs) PLEASE HELP. We are desperate. WE HAVE ALMOST NO COVERAGE ON TUESDAY MORNINGS.

Our dogs are large, prone to pull and flight risks so walking requires someone physically able, comfortable walking large dogs and ready for a fast pace. If that’s not your cup of tea, we have tons of cleaning to do and dogs that just need love while you do.

It was a pleasure grooming one of our new clients' dogs, a Wooly Siberian Husky named Bear, yesterday! It took two people and some patience to get Bear up on the grooming table and into the bath, but it was worth it to meet this sweet boy and his pet parent, and Bear is feeling handsome, fresh and clean!

We couldn't ask for a nicer dog to care for, or for a nicer pet parent, than we had for our first Mobile Pet Spa groom last week. Boo Boo, a 12 year-old Retriever, was just the sweetest and most patient fellow, and his mom Marisela was a joy to meet as well!

Each year, is celebrated on April 11 to appreciate the dogs who comfort us by being therapy dogs. They go through a rigorous testing program before they become certified so that they are eligible to visit hospitals and nursing homes to give comfort to people. We appreciate you, therapy dogs! 🐾🥰
