Twix works for dinner!
Twix loves to work/play for his meals. This started 7.4 years ago after his first herniated disc surgery. Now it is part of our daily routine. When Twix first got injured I needed to ensure he got enough mental stimulation since he could not do any physical activity. Not for a few weeks anyway. So, working for meals became a fun time for Twix and me. I adore this boy and cherish every moment I am blessed with. Twix is 13.8 and I pray for many more days, weeks, months, and would be so very blessed if I got more years with him. I will never be ready to say goodbye or see you later! Twix is my heart and soul!!
Every night at dinner time Twix plays and works for food. Tonight we continued to play after dinner was over. His reward was to get to do it again. After 3 back surgeries it is important to keep his mind active and give him a fun outlet (some would say job). I adore this little border collie more than words could ever express! He is my heart and soul! Twix is the reason I wrote two books about him and our life. Twix Runs Again and Oops, Twix Did It Again! 😊 I am blessed to still have this boy with me and thank God everyday for each day I get with Twix. Flip is so smart! Today at work I thought I would see if he could transfer his knowledge of his “on your side” trick and do it from different positions. He did it right away! He was a little slow from a bow to his side, but you can see him thinking about what I asked him to do. So so smart!! ❤️ I adore this boy!

Twix had his first injury after hyperflexing his spine when catching a frisbee and herniated a disc at 6 years old. He is now 13 and has had two more herniated disc surgeries within the last 7 years. He is still moving and loves to play and work with me! I am blessed and Thankful that God has taken such good care of my boy! I love Twix so very much! ❤️ #twixrunsagain I wrote two books about Twix. The first one has been out for a few years “Twix Runs Again” and my second will be released any day now. So, keep a look out for “Oops, Twix Did It Again!”
