Dr. Havemann will be out of hospital for her annual continuing education this Friday (June 21st) and Monday (June 24th) BUT we will have some WONDERFUL relief Doctors in so that we can continue to provide care to our patients and the community's pets. We will maintain normal business hours and Dr. Havemann will be back on Tuesday (June 25th), but in the mean time we look forward to sharing our hospital, team, and patient's with some wonderful relief doctors. ❤🐾
We announced a while back that we officially had 1000 patients uploaded to our medical records.... Well, we finally got to meet that 1000th patient!!! Our team was so excited to surprise this owner with a fun little certificate marking her kitty as our 1000th patient. We love celebrating these milestones with our clients as much as we do with our team. Again a huge thank you to the community for welcoming our hospital to Jarrell.
Our team takes pause on this Memorial Day to say thank you. A single day of memoriam is obviously not enough to signify the weight of the sacrifice of the Men and Women today is for, but nonetheless today we thank the individuals who have laid down their life for a country they believed in. When today passes do not forget them and their families. Our hearts are with all who spend today without their soldier.

Our hospital will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 27th. This Memorial Day, we will pause while gathered with our loved ones to take a moment for the Men and Women who have served our country. We are forever thankful for your service. To the families who spend Memorial Day without their soldier, your family is in our thoughts.
We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 28th.

As of today we officially have 1000 patients registered with our hospital! We are so thankful to this community for welcoming us and celebrating with us in our milestones. We have come to love so so many of your pets as our own. We celebrate their milestones with you just as you celebrate ours with us… Watching the puppies grow up through each puppy visit, seeing our nervous patients gain confidence with their happy visits, discharging patients after a course of hospitalization… We have done so many things and we cannot wait for what is to come… of course we pause to remember the pets who we’ve helped to cross the rainbow bridge as their lives impact us the hardest but also mean the most. We are forever humbled by the families who choose us for the impactful decision of helping their fur baby pass peacefully, we appreciate you entrusting us with their care in their final moments. Our team thanks everyone who has supported us thus far and we cannot wait to continue to grow to better serve our neighbors and their pets. Have a wonderful weekend with your families!

Our team is hard at work today getting our technology/software updated so that we can continue to improve how we provide veterinary care to our community and it's pet's! We will be closed to the public today, but we will be back to regular business hours tomorrow. Next week on WEDNESDAY (02.21.2024) our hospital will be closed to the public/patients as our team works to prep for the launch of our new technologies/software on THURSDAY (02.22.2024). Our hope is that you and your pet's experience with our hospital will not be drastically affected by these new changes, but if you do experience an extended appointment time we thank you for your patience in advance. It's a RUFF life being a puppy at your first new litter exam. This sweet baby fell asleep almost instantaneously upon being picked up from her littermates.🥹❤ Did you know that Dr. Havemann does recommend a general wellness appointment on any new litters? It is important for both mom and babies to be checked out by a veterinarian within that first week of new life to catch any abnormalities early on. Litter exams are an excellent way to address questions or concerns with any new litter of babies even if there are no apparent concerns.
Look at that SMILE! We were able to help provide Cooper with same day care/relief for an extremely bothersome ear infection and this was his face when his our veterinary team finished cleaning/treatment on his ears. 💗🥲🐾 This right here is why our team loves coming into work each day, helping these patients feel better! Good afternoon to our local FURRIENDS and Community. We wanted to paws and say thank you for all the support you have shown us since our arrival in August! We cannot believe today marks 6 months of our hospital being open! Our team is over the moon with how amazing the community and our clientele have been. We are reaching out to the community to ask for some assistance to ensure that our appointment books reflect appropriately how many patients are in need of medical care for the day. If your pet has an appointment with us and is no longer in need of medical care, please call us to cancel as soon as you are aware that your pet is no longer in need or is needing to reschedule. An excess of last minute cancellations/no shows takes away from other pets in the community who are in need of same day medical care due to injury or illness. We thank you in advance for being thoughtful and promptly canceling/rescheduling your pet's appointments so that our team can do what they do best which is provide exceptional care with a hometown touch. 💗🐾
Introducing our relief veterinarian for the week. Dr. Arredondo (Dr. A)! While Dr. Havemann is on her family vacation for the week Dr. A has agreed to be here for our patients' medical needs! Dr. A and Dr. Havemann are former colleagues who stayed friends after their careers took them separate directions. Dr. Havemann has known Dr. A for several years and knows that her patients and clients are in excellent hands. Our team is so happy that he was able to come over for the week that way we can continue to serve all our patients with their medical needs. Make sure to give Dr. Arredondo (Dr. A) a warm welcome with us!

Did you know that when your pet has to spend time with our team whether it’s for hospitalization or surgery we make sure they are comfy and cozy??? This little boy Tiger likes to burrow and while he’s hospitalized with us every day our team makes sure to fluff his blankets and tuck him in. He even got a friend added to his bed because we knew he was missing his kitty brother. ♥️ Is your pet a burrower or do they sprawl across their cozy spots???

As our 2024 year kicks off in full swing we find ourselves reflecting on the things from 2023 that we are very grateful for. Our gratitude jar is overflowing with all the reasons we were blessed in 2023 as Jarrell and it's community welcomed our new hospital and team with open arms. Everyone knows with the new year comes new prices as everything in world adjusts to inflation. This means that the next time you are in hospital you may notice some of the services/products might have different pricing from your previous visit. As a hospital we have chosen to only do these inflation increases once a year, at the beginning of the year, so that our pet parents are not constantly feeling the change of the economy within our office. We appreciate everyone's understanding with these changes and look forward to continuing to provide the Jarrell and surrounding areas companion animals exceptional care with a hometown touch. 💗

In case anyone was wondering what happens to their pet in the afternoon while they recover from surgery with our team THIS IS IT! We make sure every fur baby has their own cozy bed and Miss Redzie wanted to use hers as a pillow instead of staying bundled up. 😉💗🐾 (Fun Fact: Dr. Havemann helped bring Redzie and her litter into this world and today she got to spay Miss Redzie. We love seeing these babes at every stage of their life.)

Miss Josie got to go home yesterday after 8 days of hospitalization with our team! Josie and her family were so excited to bring her home and our team is so excited to watch her progress at her follow up visits. Keep an eye out for details on Josie’s case as her owner has agreed to let us share her medical records on what happened and how we treated.
Here is Toulouse 10 minutes are receiving his reversal medication in post op. Some patients are more sensitive to medications than others and require reversal to ensure a quicker/safer recovery. This is Miss Evie, her parents were nice enough to allow us to show what it looks like when a patient receives a Global Fast Ultrasound with Dr. Havemann. Miss Evie does better with a cooperative care approach where her momma can be apart of some of her treatments, while she also gets treats and love from our team. As a hospital we try very hard to accommodate our patients and their preferences, however there are some things that must be done in the treatment area with our team members only. For Miss Evie this was done with her blood draw, it was performed in the treatment area without momma and she did AMAZING and we were all so proud of her! 🌟🐾
