PSA for the day. Please keep your dogs and cats over 3 months old up to date on their rabies vaccine.
Snoop is getting better everyday. She is resting and relaxed with us and loves to be out with everyone. She still needs some help with her care. We are trying our best to minimize her cost of care. If you would like to help please call or leave a message below with your contact information and we will call. Thank you to everyone who is always so kind and generous with the cases we assist. Dr Magnifico
Snoop was brought into us about a week and half ago after her leg was caught in a trapā¦ she is here and doing well. Snoop loves to be out with everyone and she loves being apart of our dayā¤ļø
Mantis is spending the day with us and we will be helping with her long term care. She is the local dog who was rehomed after careful screening and then beaten with a machete. She is back in the care of her former owner. Hereās a snippet of her story. We will share a Waggle fundraiser later today to help offset the cost of her care.
**Please listen to the whole video. Mantis is staying with her prior owner, we are told multiple meet and greets, a home visit and vet reference check were all done. All the āthingsā to try to assure she went to the best of homes. Mantis and her owner have been through a nightmare, we hope folks who hadnāt been following the story will comment with supportive, compassionate comments.
In the ever lengthening list of obnoxious veterinary practices I add the $800 deposit to be seen. Hereās my advice on practices that require large admission fees even before your pet is examined. (PS hair appointment is scheduled for tomorrow morning. lol).
The Residence on Netflix. This clip describes the feeling you get at Jarrettsville Vet. We are a place of purpose and we know that everything we do matters. We are a private practice (and always will be) with passionate people dedicated to helping. This is how we retain staff and grow with our community. You are our WHY. Thank you for being a part of our magic. Thank you for helping us find the most amazing and compassionate people. You know that feeling, donāt you?
Snoop still has a long road ahead as we try to save her leg. Her leg was caught in a steel trap. Thankfully someone stepped in to help her, but, we are hoping to raise some funds so we can help keep her here with us. If interested in helping please call us at 410-692-6171 and you can put money on her account or go touch our website Jarrettsvillevet.com and donate to the Good Samaritan Fund. Thank to all who help us help the pets who need us.
Hereās more information on our DNA tests. Anyone else out there used this? What were your thoughts? Was it accurate? Did it explain why your pup acts like they do? Letās hear. (And letās see pictures).
Accidents happen. Tragically dogs and cats cross roads and when they are hit by a car the driver is not financially responsible for their injuries. Knowing that you hit an animal and not stopping is a reflection of your character and compassion.
Snoop is the cat we posted about earlier this week who had her foot caught in a trap. She will be staying with us for a bit longer as we treat her wound. Please donāt use traps designed to catch an animalās foot, more often than not they catch an unintended animal causing injury or even worse, a horrific death.
Snoop could use donations to help offset the cost of her care. Thank you to those who support us in giving these unique cases a chance.
Anna and the kitties are doing well.
