One of my first fosters for SAFE back in about 2014 were two male pups that I named Rockie and Stonie (LOL named after my two uncles). I drove Rockie to Terre Haute to meet a wonderful family that consisted of a young boy and his little sister. Rockie became ROCKY and the family has allowed me the privilege of watching his journey all these years. The boy just recently graduated high school and the little girl is now a teenager! I got to see ROCKY celebrate birthdays, anniversaries & Christmases, the addition of a furbaby sibling, school awards and achievements with the children, and many posts where he was just lounging and enjoying life. ROCKY knew only love and that's what we wish for all our rescues!
I learned about his passing last week. Thank you for loving ROCKY and giving him a beautiful life.
Sleep in Peaceful slumber my sweet boy. Paw prints forever in my heart ❤️

Charlie was adopted several years ago by a wonderful family willing to give an older gentleman a loving home.
His Mom let me know about his passing this morning. He passed in the comfort of his home.
I can't help but wonder if Bowtie was at Rainbow Bridge as Charlie entered.
Rest in peaceful slumber sweet boy.

We had just lost our old guy Frankie in 2018. We were literally laying him to rest when I received a phone call about an older dog that was hit by a car because he was limping. I asked the folks if they could get him to Dr. Royer Veterinary Services and explained my situation.
The next day I drove to the office. Dr. Royer explained that he had been hit by a car, but not recently. The poor guy was blind in one eye and limped from a mis-healed fractured leg at some point in his life. I yelled, "Oh my gosh, Frankie sent you!!!"

And Surprise...he had a microchip! His name was BOWTIE and he was 5 years old. Unfortunately, microchip was not registered.
Bowtie was adoptable for a couple of years, but settled in very nicely to our family.
Yesterday we had to help Bowtie cross over to Rainbow Bridge.
Sleep in Peaceful slumber my sweet old man.

(The pictures with the young lady was one & a half years ago when Bowtie was sick. They did IV fluids and antibiotics and he got better)
