Can I get your attention please?! This coming week Fila 911 Rescue and Rehab will be going north out of AL to Philly, PA, where we will meet up with Chief's adopter, who will have their own lengthy ride from CT. Once empty, we will pick up Tiger (2), Daisy (3), and Luka (9), from the Philly shelter, (PASPCA). From there the pups will be westward bound for homes in Toledo, OH, and NW Iowa. Daisy, the fawn female, is still in need of a home. If you can open yours to her, please complete a free application on our website fila911rescueandrehab.rescuegroups.org. We are going out of our way for sure, to give sweet senior Luka her last chance at the love she's been denied. If you can spare even five bucks for gas, we really need it. For our European Followers, we are doing a courtesy post for 2 purebred female Filas with papers.

They are 5 years old and were abandoned by the prior owner. Currently located in Hungary, and we are sharing their lines. Transport has been offered by current handlers. They have also agreed to cover sterilization. Please respond to this post if you are interested, or can help.

🐾 Meet Tiger! 🐾

This goofy and playful young Fila is ready to find his forever home! 🏡 Tiger came in with Daisy from a hoarding situation where he faced neglect, but he’s already come a long way and is looking for a family who can appreciate his sweet and silly nature. At 119lbs, he’s a big guy with a big heart! ❤️

Tiger will be neutered and up to date on his vaccines, and we are currently looking for either a foster or adopter to give him the love and care he deserves. 🐕 He’s a sweet boy who just wants to have fun and feel safe.

Update: Daisy appears to be 3-5 years old, and fairly healthy. She was brought in by Animal control due to a hoarding situation with several other large breed dogs. Did great for an initial meet and greet with women, but is timid with men. Seems interested in other pups, and would likely do well with a less dominant dog. The situation is dire, and we desperately need help in order to pull her and another Fila that came in with her!

Daisy’s story is still unfolding, and little is known about her background at this time. What we do know is that she’s in need of a loving foster or adopter *as soon as possible.* This sweet girl deserves a fresh start and we know there’s someone out there who can provide her with the stability and love she craves.

Good morning Fila Family!

We are starting to get low on our food supplies. If you’re interested in helping, please contact Walker Family Co-op at (205) 387-1142 and let them know you would like to buy the sport mix dog food for Fila 911 Rescue and Rehab. They can take credit card payments over the phone. Please respond here if you’re able to donate, and we can pick them up!

Also, we are needing additional treats. The favorite of the pups has been the Three dogs Bakery Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies.

Dianne is HOME!!!!

Now comes the hard part! The healing and adjustment back into the kennel atmosphere. The pups are confused and don't fully recognize her yet, and there will be some healing from the trauma of the event.

We were unable to raise enough or have a donation for an RV or enough to bring home the mobile home that was donated by Freedom Homes of Jasper. We will continue to raise funds through GoFundMe: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-dianne-kuykendall-heal-and-rebuild and hope to raise enough to bring the mobile home to the rescue grounds. This will eventually double as an office and place we can quarantine dogs as needed away from everyone else.

If you want to help, we desperately need:
- Prayers!!!!
- Some handy people that are willing to come together and help build a shelter on grounds outside of Dianne's current shelter/home, as well as renovations for the mobile home.
- Contacts for moving a mobile home. All the local companies have been contacted, and we have not heard back from any of them.
- Food for the dogs - we are currently feeding the "Sports Mix" dog food from the local Co-op, and if you would like to buy some bags of food, you can call them directly at (205) 387-1142 and pay over the phone with a credit card. They are open from 7:30am-5pm Central Time Monday through Friday, and 7:30am-12pm on Saturday
- Fosters/Adopters for our fantastic rescues, including Oro, Tatiana, Fiona, Tiana, Honey, Meredith, Mr. Bojangles, and Lola.
- Building supplies for the shelter (plans to be posted soon!)

We will be organizing some early summer "work parties" where we will need our volunteers to come out to Jasper to start helping with the building of the shelter, and the repairs needed. If you are interested in helping, please contact Angel Boley.
