Everyone, this is Draco! He’s 4 1/2 years old, and handsome as a devil. He’s currently located in Ocala, Florida. He’s current on all vaccinations, has been neutered, and is microchipped.

Draco’s dad passed away, and the family is not set up to take him in. He does have high prey drive and a stronger Fila temperament.

Everyone, meet Bailey! He’s 19 months old and coming in to his Ojeriza. His family was not prepared for it, as they have frequent visitors at the home. He’s a stunning boy, and is incredibly loving to his family. Currently located in St. Petersburg, FL, we may be able to arrange transportation if needed.

He will need some time to adjust, but is still very young. He has been exposed to small dogs and does great with the cat in the home. He also plays well with the neighbor dogs through the fence and has no sign of fence aggression/fighting.

Good morning, Fila Family!

We have a fantastic update on Dianne, our fearless Director.

She just had another surgery today, and they should be putting the mesh in to stimulate growth for her left arm. Doctor has confirmed that she will be able to keep it!!! She’s also slowly regaining the ability to move her left fingers independently! Her right arm is doing great, and will not need any grafting. She’s regained full use of her right hand. They’ve been able to take her off of IV antibiotics, and shift to oral medication. She did have an exposed nerve on her left wrist/hand, and they were able to cover it, bringing a lot of relief. She has drains in both arms, but is healing very well. There is significant stitches, and many more surgeries to go, but if anyone can heal through this, it’s her!

Last night was the best sleep she’s had in a week. She’s in good spirits and feels the love from all her supporters. Please continue to lift her up in prayer.

Bubba’s Beds for Shelter Friends is working to fill Fila 911 Rescue and Rehab with orthopedic, chewproof and easy to clean Kuranda dog beds. The goal is to provide an ###L (50x36 in) aluminum Kuranda bed for every dog that will provide comfort to hundreds of dogs for years to come.

Bubba’s Beds is an all-volunteer nonprofit and has provided beds across the USA and Puerto Rico, and has also assisted providing beds following natural disasters and animal welfare emergencies. 100% of donations go directly to beds- Bubba’s Beds does the assembly, delivery and maintaining of beds at no cost to shelters and rescues.

These beds greatly impact the health, safety and comfort of the animals- providing relief from the often cold, wet and hard concrete flooring in most shelters. They will also help to prevent pressure point sores, often an issue for large breed shelter animals. While traditional dog beds pose a choking hazard and cleaning nightmare for staff, Kuranda beds can be easily cleaned and stand up to the shelter environment, helping to cut down on the spread of disease.

Thank you, Supporters, for your donations!!! We couldn’t do this without you! Besides the 2,000lbs of dog food purchased through our local supplier, we’ve also received some of the fencing, and more supplies!!!

As always, the Fila Community is top notch, and just as faithful as our beloved Filas!

Our biggest need now will be continuing the donations towards separating the kennels from living conditions, and finding fosters/adopters for our great pups!

Sweet Mr. Brutus is looking for a cuddle buddy to share a good movie, and maybe some cookies too! He’s quite the distinguished older gentleman. You would NEVER know he was 9 years old if I hadn’t told you! He still gets the zoomies, has just enough sass to remind you he’s a Fila, and LOVES his people.

He is currently available for a long term foster or adoption. If you have an empty seat on your sofa, he’d be happy to keep it warm for you!

You all SHOWED UP!!! Fila 911 Rescue and Rehab has had 40 bags of dog food donated for the rescue!!!! That’s a total of 2,000lbs of dog food!!!!

Due to limited storage, they are maxed on dog food. If you are still wanting an opportunity to help, we are working with Dianne’s family on an Amazon Wishlist for her personal needs, and hoping to get it going within the next day or two. UPDATE::: 11/1

From Dianne’s sister just now

I am Diannes sister. Dianne had surgery again today and has another surgery scheduled for Monday. Someone in the family is with her around the clock. Right now she is in a lot of pain and suffering from PTSD. This is going to be a very long recovery process. Speaking for her family " We really appreciate all the love and support from you guys".
