Dianne is HOME!!!!

Now comes the hard part! The healing and adjustment back into the kennel atmosphere. The pups are confused and don't fully recognize her yet, and there will be some healing from the trauma of the event.

We were unable to raise enough or have a donation for an RV or enough to bring home the mobile home that was donated by Freedom Homes of Jasper. We will continue to raise funds through GoFundMe: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-dianne-kuykendall-heal-and-rebuild and hope to raise enough to bring the mobile home to the rescue grounds. This will eventually double as an office and place we can quarantine dogs as needed away from everyone else.

If you want to help, we desperately need:
- Prayers!!!!
- Some handy people that are willing to come together and help build a shelter on grounds outside of Dianne's current shelter/home, as well as renovations for the mobile home.
- Contacts for moving a mobile home. All the local companies have been contacted, and we have not heard back from any of them.
- Food for the dogs - we are currently feeding the "Sports Mix" dog food from the local Co-op, and if you would like to buy some bags of food, you can call them directly at (205) 387-1142 and pay over the phone with a credit card. They are open from 7:30am-5pm Central Time Monday through Friday, and 7:30am-12pm on Saturday
- Fosters/Adopters for our fantastic rescues, including Oro, Tatiana, Fiona, Tiana, Honey, Meredith, Mr. Bojangles, and Lola.
- Building supplies for the shelter (plans to be posted soon!)

We will be organizing some early summer "work parties" where we will need our volunteers to come out to Jasper to start helping with the building of the shelter, and the repairs needed. If you are interested in helping, please contact Angel Boley.

Happy New Year, Fila Family!

Together, we look forward to continuing our mission of healing and loving our ever-faithful Filas, as well as our incredible community-family of people that have joined Dianne along the way.

We want to start this year with a HUGE THANK YOU for everyone who has donated time, money, materials (scraped and spent hours) supporting this incredible rescue, and Dianne's recovery. The rescue truly became a community outreach, with people stepping up out of the woodwork! This allowed us to bond together, and support the life passion Dianne has lived over the last several years.

We look forward to what this next year has to offer, and the growth that we have forecasted.

Tatiana is a 2 year old beautiful, big, brilliant, butt grabber! This amazing girl has the smarts and the love, and has been known to give a little love nip on the bum (naughty little Hot Tati!). She's currently located at our rescue in Jasper, Alabama, but transportation may be arranaged...

She is spayed, housebroken, does well with other male dogs, and would even do well with older children. She does great in a home that has a lot of love. She's confident and very Fila.... She deserves the absolute best, as she's been through so much in the last year!

We finally got approval and have a much easier way to donate! We now have the official Facebook “donate” button!

Thanks to some guidance (and a little nudging) from a friend, this will make it much easier for our Facebook friends to help cover food, transportation, sponsor adoption fees, cover veterinary expenses, and other care costs.

With our incredible driver, a foster with a heart of solid gold, and a community of Fila family that could help reconnect this girl with her loving adopter, we kept our promise to give our faithful Filas the same chance as any other breed.

Good boi Chief is still looking for his forever home… and I can’t figure out why - for the life of me! We have him at our rescue in Alabama, but can arrange transportation for the right home.

He’s 3 years old, neutered, housebroken, does well with other mellow dogs, is incredibly patient and gentle, but still has that Fila fire for protecting his family.

He would be great in a a family with older children, or even as an only boy! He’s absolutely stunning, and even has his adoption fee sponsored!

Sweet Willow is needing a new place to call home. She is currently located in Northeast Oklahoma, and is about 3 years old, spayed, housebroken, and does well with other dogs. She has little to no interest in cats. She’s as sweet as can be, with a softer temperament, and the gentlest demeanor. Willow is a smaller girl, at around 110lbs.

She was with a great Fila family, but they are no longer able to care for due to rapid health deterioration leading to hospice.

She will be fostered in Northeast Oklahoma until a good home can be found.

This beautiful girl got sprung from death row, and is settling in quite splendidly at her foster! Pantera has been helped by more people than I can list! Thank you to our local rescue partner that was willing to transport her, our short-term foster that will help her make it up to her adopter, and all of you, that help us be able to cover the financial expenses that come with all of it!

This has been a special one for my heart! ❤️ It seemed almost impossible, but all the right people fell into all the right places at just the right time.

A beautiful post from Mary and Patrick Dronkers

It’s been a month since we accepted our Senior Fila Brutus from Fila 911 Rescue and Rehab- I want the first day Thank You to Diane and Michelle who made this possible so quick. I was talking with Michelle about adopting a 3 year old same age as my Georgia Girl( Heavy G) but after 20 minutes talking to her i got to read up and see Brutty, a 9 year old Senior - got to thinking that even us Senior need all the loving they can get with what time they have left, why not spoil them rotten, our FUR Family members are not with us long enough, it took 4 days and nights to introduce the two to each other and after that 4th day it was like it was meant to be, he has calmed Heavy G down a bit, they run the yard together, they do everything together, he is a shadow to Mary and he always says good night with a head butt and a big wet one across the face, took one introduction to other family members and he accepted them as if he knew them all their lives, He protects everyone here along with our place and Georgia,
It took all of one day to get Brutty from saying yes, i would love to adopt him from Jasper, Alabama to Pan Handle of Florida, Thank you Diane and Michelle , This Senior Fila is an amazing Boy.

This studly boy, Oro, is ready for his forever home! He’s goofy, always down for a good time, and just wants to be with his people!

He would prefer all the loves, but would be willing to share with a sister that isn’t gonna beat him up.

Oro’s neutered, current on vaccinations, and just wants to be home for Christmas. Can you give him that present? His adoption has been sponsored, and transport can be arranged!

Thanks to a whole village (2 other rescues, one committed advocate, a great adopter, all our financial supporters - 🎶🎄and a partridge in a pear tree 🎶), Pantera is getting pulled this Friday, and off to her forever home after a couple of short stops on the way! New name, new life, and so many new friends along the way.

We truly can’t do this without you!!!!
