Sometimes when emergencies happen we aren't prepared. But we are willing to do whatever it takes to save our fur babies. And thats what Macie did when Gatsby became very sick and All Creatures Vet in Jasper Alabama discovered he had a bowel obstruction and needed emergency surgery to remove it. It took all their savings, which was going toward a second car. They stood by Gatsby and gave him the care and love that they promised him when he first was welcomed as permanent part of their family. Would you consider giving All Creatures a call and donating to Gatsby's surgery and aftercare? It would be so appreciated. Thanks so much! Even a dollar would help!

Does anyone know how to get in touch with the vet at All Creatures? Little Gatsby went in for surgery and she hasnt recieved a call for post op. Please, if you know anything about how to get in touch post or message! Macie, his mom, is frantic and they are now closed until Monday!

Are you or someone you know interested in farming, gardening, hunting or living on acreage? Horses? We have 10 acres that we don't use and are thinking of renting it. My pet parents and fur babies live in so many areas that are being affected by these storms! Right now storms with a hook echo are headed toward Cordova and Dora. That means a tornado is most likely coming your way. Please don't poo poo the severity of these storms. They are serious and dangerous. In Californis we only had to worry about Valley Fever, earthquakes and crime.. Oh what a trade we made! If the rain suddenly stops, and you hear a roaring, take cover immediately! If you look out and see sideways rain, youd better go to your safe place! Brenda and little Jasper called me yesterday to give me the tutorial on storm safety. The only thing I didnt get were bicycle helmets! Again, please stay safe.

If you or someone you know wants or needs a part time job deep cleaning Yappy Days 5 days a week for $15 an hour, please send them my way. Job would include sanitizing and vacuuming, floor to ceiling in every room (including crates, grooming tables, windows, tubs, etc). We will be finished with renovations in two weeks and this will be a permanent job. Yall, I am one person, chipping away at a huge mountain of responsibility. I'm praying and hoping God will send me genuine, kind souls who can help me create a place where the babies are truly loved and cared for, and pet parents don't worry when they are visiting us. No matter what challenges we face, having faith and refusing to give up or give in is how anyone makes it up the highest mountain. The view at the top is going to be beautiful. Dear Lucy in the Skye with Diamonds, thank you for the much needed clarity. I needed that. You are appreciated so very much.

My heart is broken. Thank you, Mommy, for sharing him with the world.

Dear Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I write to tell you that Saint Norbert Liv Freyermuth Steines passed away peacefully wrapped in the warmth of my arms last night, 9:00 PM, Sunday, January 26th, just two months before his 16th birthday. My family is heartbroken. It was the honor of a lifetime to be entrusted to oversee his time here on earth. As a unique mixed-breed adopted dog— the only pup in his litter, he was a champion for pet adoption. Adopting him forever changed my life for the better in unimaginable ways. At only 3 pounds, he showed us all the importance of making others smile. He lived his belief that you don’t have to be big to make a BIG difference in the world. As a registered therapy dog, Norbert fulfilled his beautiful mission to bring kindness and comfort to those in need. He volunteered much time with people in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and special events. He donated his many books and his plush toys to spread joy. Norbert knew we each have special gifts to share to help each other.

We feel the love and appreciate the prayers and support from each of you around the world. It means more than words can say. We know that so many of you understand the deep sadness at the loss of a beloved animal companion. I am the luckiest woman to have the support of the Norberthood to help me not only mourn the loss of this tiny creature of pure goodness, but to also celebrate his life and his legacy. I know two things for sure: Norbert made this world a better place, and his spirit will live on through our smiles in his community, the Norberthood.

In celebration of Norbert’s life, we will share Norbert’s photos and videos on his social media and websites. In some way, we hope to carry on with his good work. When you think of him, he would want you to smile. In the spirit of Norbert, high-five to each of you. Love, Julie
