Luvk9s is offering a new class this time around - the URBAN CANINE GOOD CITIZEN, or CGCU. This class works on your dogs skills out in public. See brochure for more info,

Classwork will be done in downtown Ball Ground, The Mill @ Etowah (Canton), Home Depot and downtown Jasper for starters!

Classes meet on Saturday at 3 PM starting Oct. 19. We will meet 5 times. Let us know if you're interested!

Congrats to the latest group of students who successfully completed BASIC class! (Luvk9s is starting up two more BASIC classes this upcoming week. Friday class starts Oct. 18; the Saturday class starts Oct. 19. Classes run from 9 - 10 AM for 5 weeks. Contact us for more info and to register! These classes end the week before Thanksgiving - perfect time to take an obedience class (or refresher course) with the upcoming holidays!

Just wrapped up an Advanced CGC class (CGCA). These 4-legged students had wonderful handlers and worked really hard to achieve this milestone. Several classes were held "off campus" at Home Depot in Canton and Jasper and Sackkets Western Wear in Jasper. CONGRATS TO ALL!

The CGCA (advanced CGC) builds on the skills you learned in the CGC class. It's a great refresher course if it's been a while since you earned your CGC. We plan on offering the Urban CGC class later this fall - this is the next class after the CGCA. Stay tuned!

PUPPIES! Who doesn't love puppies? Meet the latest group of puppies that finished up puppy class this past Saturday. In addition to working on AKC STAR PUPPY PROGRAM items like sit, down, come, and walking on leash, we also had time for enrichment activities (noseworks and agility) and socialization (puppy play time). We'll be offering another round of Friday and Saturday puppy classes starting Sept. 6 and 7 at 11 AM. COntact us for more info!

Congrats to Lucy and Nike for earning their NOVICE and INTERMEDIATE TRICK DOG titles!

We worked on most of the NOVICE items:https://images.akc.org/pdf/Trick_Dog_Title_NOVICE_Checksheets.pdf and mastered 10 intermediate tricks each to earn that second advanced title:https://images.akc.org/pdf/trick_dog_Intermediate.pdf

We will be starting up another trick class Saturday, Sept. 7 at 3 PM at Ball Ground Hounds in Ball Ground. Contact us if you're interested. If you're looking for something fun to do with your dog, this is the class for you! This is also a great confidence builder for shy dogs!

IS THIS NOT THE CUTEST DOG EVER? Meet Penny, a Big Canoe Animal Rescue dog, who is currently attending a Luvk9s basic obedience class as our special guest! She is learning how to "sit". "down". "watch me", "drop it/leave it" and "stay." We will start on leash walking next week. We think Penny is about 1 1/2 years old and weighs about 53 lbs. DNA test is pending. She was found as a stray with her sibling. She is very gentle and sweet. Contact Big Canoe Animal Rescue if you might be interested in meeting her. 706-268-1346.

We'll be offering two basic classes on Friday (9 and 11 AM), Tricks class on Friday at 3 PM, Puppy class on Saturday at 11 AM and CGC/CGCA classes (basic level II and III) on Saturday at 1 PM. Congratulations are in order to the latest Luvk9s puppy class graduates! Puppy class is six weeks long; we follow the recommended puppy curriculum that the AKC suggests - their STAR PUPPY program. The dogs did great and a good time was had by all!

More congratulations are in order! Four Luvk9s students took and passed the CGCA test. CGCA is the advanced Canine Good Citizen certification. The group photo was taken at Sacketts in Jasper where we ran a successful run thru the prior week. We also did an outing to Home Depot and worked in downtown Ball Ground and at Ball Ground Hounds. Such a fun group of folks! Enjoyed working with all of you!
