Meet Clea's adorable puppies!!!

Little Clea joined the BarkVille family about a week before giving birth to her precious pups! Now, at three weeks old, they're growing stronger every day!

Clea has been a devoted protective mom, but thankfully, she's slowly returning to her loving self. It's only natural that she'd want to shield her little ones from harm - after all, a mother's love knows no bounds!

As the pups approach eight weeks, we'll capture their cutest moments and post them on Petfinder, and they'll be ready to find their forever homes through our foster-to-adopt program! We'll soon host a fundraiser to support their veterinary care, as raising pups can be quite expensive!

We need fosters!!

Yes, we know it isn’t always easy to foster a dog- sometimes you have to house train them, work on leash skills, teach them to live nicely in a home. Sometimes they are sick, or under socialized, or love to chew stuff!!

But we help- we have an amazing team of long term fosters and volunteers who have done
it all and want to help new folks succeed!

We pay for training, veterinary care and whatever the dog needs. We support you and your foster dog.

Will you help us save lives? Will you become a foster?
Times are very bad for our canine friends and sadly many are being killed in shelters because there aren’t enough fosters or adopters. The pups need you. We need you.

BarkVille Dog Rescue continues to try to save lives but we also continue to struggle to find people willing to foster. Dogs that are saved without fosters or dogs that lose their fosters end up in paid boarding which costs us a substantial amount each month that frankly could be used to save more lives.

We need to work on raising appropriately $400 to $500 per each boarding dog to cover boarding and food. As you can see that is a substantial cost to our group each month and it’s very difficult to raise funds for dogs once they are deemed “safe”.

We need your donations and support if we are going to try to continue saving lives. We just can’t do it without you.

Tucker was Adopted!!! We’re so happy for him!!!

Tucker’s foster family put a lot of time and energy into making sure he was a great, adoptable boy and we sure do appreciate that!!!

His adoptive Dad’s saw him on Instagram and came to meet him at an event! We think the match is perfect! We know Tucker will live his best life for sure!!!

Donations Needed!!

When we saw this boy yesterday we knew we had to try to help him. Thankfully one of our amazing fosters stepped up to help! But, we may need to board him for awhile after surgery since she currently has a foster dog. We’ve named this loving boy Royal because we think he deserves to be treated like a King for the rest of his days!!!

We don’t really know what happened to this dog- but that did not happen from being hit by a car. Rather it looks like someone set up to intentionally hurt or kill him.

He will need the leg amputated which another group has very graciously offered to cover for him. But he will need all his basic care and boarding for an awhile. Chances are high this guy is heartworm positive too and we’ll let you know as soon as he’s tested.

Carl is smiling because he gets treats while he is learning to be the best boy he can be!!!

Carl is at training camp at Rucker Dog Training and he is loving every minute of it!! This guy is pretty easy to influence with the lure of a treat!!!

Carl is fully obedience trained- he knows many commands such as come, down and place. He walks like a gentleman on leash and he is friendly towards people and other dogs.

Carl is almost done with training and we would love to find a committed foster that is interested in keeping up his amazing skills and working to further his training!!

What a great day!! Gilbert was adopted!!!

Gilbert is a super cool dog that came from Chattooga County in NW Georgia. When we saw his picture we just knew there was something special about this guy!!!

His forever family fell in love at an adoption event, we got them approved and he went to his forever home last week!!

What a good girl Mardi is!!

Mardi loves dogs, cats and people. This girl came from “ruff” beginnings but is really starting to come into her own these days! We love watching Marty blossom as her foster mom works with her on gaining confidence!

Marty is a young girl, housebroken, about 40lbs and crate trained. She is easy going and very sweet in nature!!

Jeff and Kiwi are brother and sister that really love each other!!

Both of these beautiful pups came to BarkVille as puppies from a bad situation. They were not socialized well as youngsters and take time to warm up to new friends. However, once you are in with them you are good as gold!!!

We would love both Jeff and Kiwi to find their own loving homes but it would be a total win if they could be adopted together!!

Let's Uplift Sasha's Spirit! This girl needs a foster and pledges in the event we have to board her temporarily.

Sasha was horribly dumped out in rural Georgia and left to fend for herself. Thankfully she ended up on a good person's porch and was helped get to the safety of the shelter.

Everyone that meets Sasha loves her! She is dog, kid and adult friendly! She is approximately 2 yrs old and weighs 45lbs. She is adorable beyond measure!

Our Sweet Peeta was Adopted!!

He now has a fur sister who is BV Alum!! We love it when people adopt for a second and third time from us!!! Great homes are hard to find for shy pups like Peeta but he definitely has an amazing home and family now!

It’s $2 Tuesday!!

We have raised the funds for Winn Dixie and Carl but Midnight just went to training Saturday and we need to raise $1000 to cover her costs.

Midnight, Winn Dixie and Carl are doing great and are learning so many important skills that will help them all find fosters and get adopted!! Midnight and Winn Dixie are shy girls that need to build confidence and become more sure of themselves! While Carl- this smiling dude loves the treats and is super motivated to behave like a gentleman so he keeps receiving them!!!!

Goal Met. Thank You All.

We thought for sure we would find a foster for this sweet yellow lab mix- but, we haven’t- not one person has even asked about her. Times are really rough in rescue- truly never seen things this bad.

She has a $400 sponsorship that will cover her spay- we need to raise funds to cover vaccines, heartworm testing, f***l, microchip, preventatives, food and boarding for at least a month to cover us if we still can’t find a foster.

That means to save this pretty girl we need to raise funds of approximately $850.00.

We will you help us raise the amount needed to cover her abd save her? We can’t do this without your help. We’re trying but it’s getting more difficult each week.

Betty White’s Amazing love of Life!!!

Our cute Betty White has an indomitable spirit and love of life! Nothing holds this girl back from enjoying every moment!! This girl has been through Total Ear Ablation, hypothyroidism, several tumors removed and she just smiles and works on getting better! Now the poor girl has torn her cranial cruciate ligament and needs TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery to repair her knee so that she can go back to being a happy, joyful girl!! Betty may be 8-10 yrs old but she has a lot of living to do and we want to do everything we can to make that happen for her. We never give up on our dogs if they have a good quality of life. Betty had the best quality of life!! TPLO surgery is approximately $2000 and we know that’s a lot- but honestly Betty is so worth it!! Meet ✨Velvet✨ Velvet is a friendly and loving young Pitbull/Mix. She’s born around April 2022 and weighs 45lbs. She has a beautiful black and white brindle coat, and a physically fit physique! Velvet is dog friendly, and is very loving and playful! She has not been tested with kids but based on her personality she would likely be kid friendly. She has a medium energy level, and plays well with other dogs or on her own. Velvet would love a forever family that has another playful dog, but this is not a requirement. She is crate trained and house trained, and has good leash manners. Velvet is eager to please and is described by her foster Mom as both obedient and intelligent. She will be a wonderful addition to a family looking for a loving and loyal companion. She enjoys car rides and would love to go on fun outings with a forever family!
