Happy Thursday!

Cindy and all of us here at BarkVille Dog Rescue wanted to send a big thank you and an update of Cindy!!

Cindy had TPLO surgery Monday and got to go home Tuesday! She is recovering at home well and looking forward to some treats at Thanksgiving.

We are so thankful to everyone who donated to help us cover the cost of this major surgery. We truly cannot help these wonderful dogs without your support.

In other exciting news….. Cindy found her forever family!! Once she is fully cleared by her veterinarian it will be official!! Cindy will be so loved and very well cared for - we couldn’t be any happier!! Lucky 🍀 girl!!

Big, handsome, sweet and well behaved…..that describes our boy Darius perfectly!!!

Darius attended his first event last weekend and it was a big one- he got thru it with ease- loved everyone, had fun, and enjoyed the sunshine!!!

Right now Darius is stuck in boarding- being very well cared for, but not the same as living in a home having a normal life. He truly longs for that and we are trying so hard to make that a reality for him.

Wow, what a weekend! Our Pickle for Pups Team up for Rescue fundraiser was a huge success with perfect weather! Everything went off smoothly from the Friday night party to the Team Tournament on Saturday. Thanks to all of our generous sponsors and donors we raised just under $63,000 for the dogs!!!

Look who’s feeling better!! Adorable Jules was able to leave the veterinarian’s care and go to her foster this weekend!!

Jules still has some deep wounds that need medication and care but she is doing so much better!! She is loving life in her amazing foster home!!

Big shout out to all of our donors and the foster family! We can’t save dogs like Jules without you!! Thank you so much!!

Foster Homes Needed!!

We have so many great dogs and puppies in need of foster homes!! If we can get these pups in loving and understanding foster homes we can work on saving more dogs!

We need fosters to be patient and be the leader the dog/pup needs you to be to succeed. We need you to work on crate training, leash walking and basic living in a home manners. We need you to help us market your foster dog and bring to adoption events at least once a month if appropriate. Fostering isn’t always easy- but it’s always possible and with hard work, we give a dog the greatest gift of all - their life.

The rescue provides all medical care, a crate, leash, collar, ID tag and anything else you might need. We can provide training or help you get your foster dog into a training class if needed. We are willing to work hard to make each dog successful and we need you to be willing as well. If we all work hard and put in some effort the dog succeeds, gets adopted and lives the life we all want for every dog.

Become a foster today and help us get all these dogs out of boarding. All dogs are dog and human friendly- we have not cat tested any of them but can try to figure out a good way to get that done if needed.

Deborah needs a foster home!!!

Dogs can’t speak with words, but it’s pretty obvious to see how Deborah feels after living in a home and then being returned to boarding. She is stressed, scared, lonely and afraid. She is very nervous in the kennel environment and our hearts are breaking for this sweet girl. We are very thankful our partner vet, Bridge Park has such caring staff to help her until we can find a place for Deborah, but she will be much happier in a home environment.

Deborah is about 40lbs, dog friendly and extremely cute. She is medium energy and needs some rules and boundaries to do her best in a home.

Please help us- we have someone willing to match up to $500 in donations today and we desperately need it. We’re so thankful for this generous offer of the donor and if we can reach $500 to have it matched it will be a huge help for our struggling rescue.

Right now there is no easy way to say this Rescue is more than difficult….. so many dogs losing their lives and all we can do is sit by and watch with a broken heart. It kills us to see the amount of dogs being dumped in shelters across Georgia. We want to help, but our hands our tied. We have to provide for the dogs already in our care.

We have all these dogs in boarding,hospitalized or in training with zero foster offers. Besides the huge cost, it’s the mental toll it takes on these dogs that makes us most upset.

It’s $2 Tuesday! We need to raise $1000 to send Pookie Bear to board and train to learn all about being a good, well mannered young man!

Pookie Bear is very sweet and loving but his energy and lack of basic manners stop him from finding his forever home. You know at BarkVille Dog Rescue we do everything in our power to help our dogs get adopted.

This guy has tons of potential and will be adopted in a heartbeat once his training is complete.

Who can foster thru the holidays?

We have all of these dogs plus several more in paid boarding. We would love to get these pups into a home even for a month or so.

A month or so may not seem like a lot of time- and it isn’t, but teaching the dogs home life- getting them exposure and getting to know their personalities increases their adoptability by leaps and bounds!!

All of these dogs are human and dog friendly. We will provide a crate and any help you need along the way. Just provide a loving home with the structure and guidance these pups need so much!!!

Meet Gorgeous Woody!!

This low key, happy dude just came to BarkVille from the Clayton County kill list from last week. He has been fully vetted and is now in boarding.

Woody is a gentle boy who likes others dogs and tends to be a bit on the shy side until he gets to know you. He about 2 yrs old and 65lbs.

Please Donate! We are feeling overwhelmed today and need the support of our friends, fosters and donors.

We continue struggling to find foster homes, to raise funds and our adoptions are still very low.

We have Cindy who needs a major knee surgery so she can run and be happy again. We are short $1275 to cover her needs.

We have 11 dogs in paid boarding that we desperately need fosters for but in the mean time need to cover almost $4000 per month for boarding and food. We were able to raise $300 on Tuesday to help with this.

We still have Micah in ICU fighting parvo- his medical care goes up daily and then he will need two weeks of isolation boarding to cover until he can go back to regular boarding or a foster.

We have two other pups that need major medical care as well. We are truly trying the best we can to get thru these times but fosters and donations are critical at this point.
