Lita is popping in for an update from her foster home. She is doing well! Her foster family says she walks well on a leash, has had no accidents, and can be trusted alone in the house when they’re gone.

Howard is living it up in his foster home! Here is what they have to say about him.

“Who needs a dog for Christmas?! 🎄 🐶 ♥️
The kids decided we should foster a dog for the holidays, and they picked a good one. Howard is a 4 year old hound. He loves eating and sleeping. He’s been quietly sleeping all night in his crate with no accidents. He’s done well on car rides, in public, on walks, and with people of all ages. We have yet to hear him bark. When not eating or looking for food, he can be found in his bed (courtesy of Lena, who shopped for him at her school’s Christmas store🥰). Contact DCHS or let us know if you’d have any interest!”

An 8 months old Beagle mix that is perfect with everyone he meets! He is the most gentle loving boy that would really love to be yours!!

Did you know you can Kennel your Cans at DCHS? It's a perfect time this holiday season to help support DCHS by simply dropping your empty cans in!

We recycle aluminum cans and the money is earmarked for our spay/neuter fund.

The public is welcome to add to our can collection anytime! The recycle bin is located on the far side of DCHS after you pull into the parking lot.

Nyx is soooo happy to see that his sister and bestie got adopted last week!!
Now it’s his turn!!
Nyx is 8 months old and the last cat in our free roaming room and would love to be loved by you! He does AMAZING with other cats and will tolerate dogs! Nyx can be kind of shy when there are a bunch of people around but one on one, he is a total love bug that loves being held!

Meet Link!

This 8-month-old Beagle mix sweetheart was found as a stray, but he’s ready to be your new best friend! Link loves everyone he meets! Humans, kids, and even other pets. He’s gentle, snuggly, and just the happiest boy (sometimes so happy he tinkles a little).

If you’re looking for a playful, lovable pup to brighten your days, Link is the one! Come in tomorrow Christmas Eve from 3pm-6pm to make Links Christmas wish come true!!

Well unfortunately Amy’s trial didn’t work out but luckily someone was on standby just for her!!
Amy found her forever person today and can’t wait to be spoiled for the rest of her days!!

T-minus 3 days till the big day!
I might not get everything I wish for Christmas this year but that’s okay!
I know my shelter humans will spoil us here at the shelter but I’m sure they could use your help!

We are wanting to make sure each animal gets at least 1 new toy/item (that they will get to personally pick out!(we will be making a video for everyone to see what they choose!))
