The Joshua Fund Dog Rescue

The Joshua Fund Dog Rescue The Joshua Fund is a 501c3 Registered Non Profit Organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs from high-kill shelters throughout the United States.

We are an all volunteer, foster-based rescue. The Joshua Fund Dog Rescue needs your help! Our rescue operations have literally come to a halt. As a national rescue with numerous dogs in private foster homes around the United States, transporting dogs to NY for adoption has become a virtual impossibility. Caring for our existing dogs has drained our reserves and has severely hindered our ability to

rescue other dogs from high-kill shelters. PLEASE, consider making a donation so that we can continue saving lives!

Please join us in welcoming beautiful Bonnie to the Joshua Fund family. Bonnie is a very special and loving 6yr old girl who was rescued along with her partner in crime, Clyde (joke, they are both the sweetest dogs ever - unless you happen to be a tennis ball). Bonnie was rescued in Texas and recently did the long journey up North to her new foster home in New York. She is settling into her surroundings like a champ and even starting to approve of the cool temps and the snow! Bonnie’s foster mom said she is a joy to have around, she is playful, loving and has good manners. Bonnie weighs around 99 lbs (lots to love), she is up to date on her vaccines, and has been spayed.

If you would like to learn more about Bonnie or one of our other rescue dogs please visit our website https://www.joshuafundrescue.org/adoptioninfo and fill out an application form. 🔔 Puppy Alert!! 🔔 From the same litter as Ben and Jerry, we introduce Joofy!

Hi my name is Joofy because my foster family says I’m a big goof! I love to play with my brother (Bear)and big foster brother! My foster mom says I’m full of energy and very curious. But that’s because I’m so excited to explore, there’s so much to see!

Joofy is such a fun pup! He loves to run around and play. When the other dogs get tired of playing he does his own one pup show! Joofy is treat motivated, doing well with potty training and sleeping in his crate throughout the night. He is 8 weeks old and currently receiving his puppy vaccines and will be ready for transport shortly.

Never mind Phil the groundhog, Texas Clyde saw his shadow yesterday and predicts 6 more weeks of winter!! (Not good news for us up North), but Clyde doesn’t mind, as long as he can play tug-o-war, he is one happy pup! Clyde is settling into his foster home so well and is a sweet, loving and happy little boy. He adores hanging out with his furry foster sis, JF alumni Estelle, & then snuggles with mom and dad at the end of a busy day. Clyde is a smart boy that is mildly food motivated, he does well on a leash and is warming up to his crate. Clyde is approximately 1-2 yrs old, weighs 85 lbs (he’s a big boy) is heartworm negative and up to date on his vaccines. Clyde would make an excellent addition to a fun and adventure loving family.

📣 Larue update!! 📣

Handsome LaRue (aka Barkley) has been in his foster home for a few weeks now and after a nasty bout of bronchitis that resulted in pneumonia, this sweet guy is on the mend!! He is out of isolation and able to play with his foster siblings which he loves. Larue, is a very smart boy, he is constantly amazing his foster mom and when she was drinking a RedBull one day, Larue went and found his own RedBull toy from the depths of the toy boy, what a smart cookie!! Larue has a huge personality and is so fun to be around, he is a lover who just adores to snuggle with his people. Larue is great on a leash and does well in his crate (although his preference is to sleep at the bottom of the bed…who can blame him). He is good with other dogs and although he shows interest in the family cats, he doesn’t chase them. Larue loves to play with his toys, (especially if they have treats inside) and he enjoys playing with his foster siblings in his yard. Larue is around 4 years old, weights approximately 65-70lbs and is heart worm positive unfortunately. If you would like to contribute to Larues health costs please click on the donate button below.

A last minute Christmas miracle occurred for handsome Larue here when a Joshua Fund volunteer swooped in and saved him from euthanasia. The staff at the shelter where this boy was found had been praying for a Christmas miracle and their prayers were answered. He was a staff favorite at the shelter and we are so thankful we were able to make him a member of the Joshua Fund family. Larue is estimated to be about 4 years old, and is approximately 63 pounds (about 10 pounds under weight). He is happy, social, playful, loves kisses, and was good with other dogs in the shelter. Sadly, he is HW+ but we will get him in good shape soon and ready for a home of his very own. More to come on Larue as he settles into his foster home!
