A 4-H Youth Trapping school will be held near Marks, MS in Quitman County on Saturday, October 19 from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. (Lunch provided.)

To register, contact the Quitman County Extension Office at 662-326-8939 or [email protected]

Youth and adults will learn from the best trappers in the state on managing predators!

Topics:
• Types of Traps for various Predator and Nuisance Animal Control
• Land & Water Management Techniques
• Scents & Lures for various applications
• Predator & Nuisance Animal Management Techniques

Youth must be accompanied by an adult for the entirety of this event. Youth aged 8-18 may participate.

Registration deadline is Oct. 11.

We are excited to announce the 2nd annual Mississippi 4-H "Fishin' the Sip" Virtual 4-H Fishing Tournament! This tournament will begin on Oct 1 and conclude on Oct 31.

The cost to participate is $15 which can be paid by credit card when youth register. Plaques as well as prizes will be given to the top 3 anglers in a Jr. 4Her and Sr. 4Her category.

A $6.50 fee will also be imposed for the use of the Tourney X phone app which will be paid when youth register for this tournament on the app.

Out with the old and in with the new. We will soon be offering Compadre for sale and Wrangler will be taking over the herd. Looking forward to what the future brings. Feel free to inquire about info on Compadre. He’s a special guy who needs a new owner that knows and appreciates his pedigree and talent. Alliance Boleros Compadre is AMHA and AMHR registered. Compadre is one of the few Bolero sons that carry the Appaloosa Gene. He has also tested negative to LWO.
