Franny has been with us a long time. She is around 3-4 years, very quiet and sweet. She shares her foster room with a bunch of rowdy kittens and does not mind their shenanigans at all. She loves head scratches and a gentle brushing. She just needs a soft bed and a window to enjoy the sun and wildlife.

Rescue is always a roller coaster ride. When you have a good day, rest assured there's another dip ahead.
Yesterday we had the very upsetting news that our sweet little Corn Dog has FIP. He became a lot less active and was not interested in eating the last few days. A slew of tests confirmed what I suspected.
This is another huge hit to our budget. But how do you not go ahead with treatment? FIP meds are ordered($300) A lot of people say "you can't save them all" and we all understand that at SOS. But you can't have Tater Tot without a Corn Dog. So here we go! 84 days of treatment!

What a difference 24 hours can make. Flea free, warm, and bellies full.
We could use some more Capstar flea treatment. And wet kitten food. Monetary donations are always welcome as well for vet care /bills.

They look cute and sweet and you just wanna kiss and snuggle them close... But this is the sad reality of most outdoor born kittens.
I have to say , this is probably one of the worst infestations I've had over all my years , maybe even number one.
What I was told was dried p**p on them actually was dried blood from so many fleas.
The water was tinged red from their bath.
Fleas will race to their noses and eyes and ears when you bath them. And this literally made me almost cry.
It took a couple hours to pick off the dead fleas and then they had a tiny dose of capstar for any stragglers.
They are going to feel so much better. Next: treat those wormy bellies.
I did not have room for these babies.I did not need three more to take care of. We desperately need foster homes who can take pairs of kittens that are already fixed and waiting for a home so that we can save babies like this instead of turning people away. I almost said no, but something in me told me it was an urgent situation.
The rest of the litters passed away probably from blood loss/anemia.
Can any of our followers or supporters foster two kittens, just two? It would sure lighten the load on some of us and you would get so much joy out of it as well.
