This summer, Cindy Wood with Animal Medical Center of Jefferson City was inducted into the MVMF Practice Staff Honor Roll. 🎉 In the first photo, Cindy Wood is pictured with Dr. Greg Boyer and Dr. James Howard with a photo of Dr. Ernest Burgess in the background - the veterinarian who founded the practice!

Cindy Wood joined the medical team in 1989. As a veterinary assistant, she is responsible for preparing surgical procedures as well as assisting the veterinarians during surgery. When she's not in the operating room, Cindy helps assist with wellness examinations. Cindy is always calm, especially during emergencies. Cindy lives on a farm and has an Aussie, three Great Pyrenees, several cats, three miniature horses, and several big horses. She enjoys going to horse shows with her husband and grandchildren. In her free time, Cindy stays very busy with 4H and horsemanship groups. She also enjoys giving riding lessons. Although she loves all animals, horses have always been Cindy's passion.

This summer, Tiffany MacPherson was inducted into the MVMF Practice Staff Honor Roll. She was nominated by Dr. Marcy Hammerle. Congratulations Tiffany on this well deserved honor! 🎉

Tiffany MacPherson, a 2009 graduate of Sanford Brown, is a dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and the Practice Manager for two Pet Doctor clinics in Missouri. Since joining The Pet Doctor immediately after graduation, Tiffany has been instrumental in shaping the clinics’ success. Her calm and dedicated approach to veterinary care ensures the comfort and well-being of every animal she encounters. Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her two beloved cats: Mango Boy, a 20-pound snuggler, and Roro, her energetic orange furball. She also loves weekend getaways to the lake, gardening, bird watching, traveling, and embarking on small adventures with her two young children.

Today is Hairball Awareness Day. Hairballs are primarily a tight elongated cylinder of packed fur, but may include bits of other elements such as swallowed food. Cats aren't the only ones affected. Dogs, rabbits, ferrets, cattle, sheep, goats, and deer have all been known to have hairballs!
