I thought Charlie was doing really good learning basic obedience commands, but he was absolutely amazing when we started incorporating a few balance and agility devices! Especially the weave poles. After just a few passes through on leash, he was easily lured through off leash, then from guidance further away. Great job Ryan and Charlie!

Dunkin hit a first in class last night! He is such an adorable pup and does really good with his obedience exercises, but for some reason balks at putting his feet on new things. We have been patiently working with him, one item and one step at a time and it's working! Yesterday, he stepped up on the climb (with his rug laid on top of it) and after the initial try, stepped up several more times like it was nothing. Yea Dunkin!! He is doing great with the weave poles and front feet upon the balance bones. He has such a great personality- this is one smart, very loved dog!

Congratulations Baxter! This cutie completed Beginner Training and last week, he easily passed the AKC test to be designated a Star Puppy! We're pretty proud of him.

Dunkin just keeps getting better and better every class. He's doing great with all the commands! But, he definitely has issues with putting his feet up on different objects. He is positive the fit bones, the wobble board, and the stationary block of wood are all out to get him. As you can see, his mom is trying her best to help him conquer his fear. Teamwork!

I have the pleasure of helping these two gorgeous pups learn basic obedience skills in my six week private lesson program. It's Baxter the Basset Hound puppy, and Dunkin the Hound/beagle cross! They're both doing great!

Scout did it! Under Jackie's lead, Scout completed Level One Obedience. I got more attached to this guy every day. ❤️ Even though he has a little touch of stubbornness, he is very intelligent and willing to learn new things, as long as it doesn't become too boring. He responds great to an upbeat leader! Congratulations, Scout and Jackie!

Sammy loves going through the tunnel! (After the initial scary first time) And, he jumped right up on the wobble board. Very cool. Today he practiced Look, Touch, Go to your place, sit, down, come, stay, and leave it. What a good boy! 😍

Congratulations to Indy for going through the Level 1 Training program. Indy is a very rare breed in our country. He is a Mudi, a Hungarian herding breed. Indy is extremely intense and highly anxious and reactive to any movement around him! We had to have Indy stationed at a very far distance from the class, hoping that he would eventually acclimate, calm down a little, then we could gradually move him closer, in baby steps.

We also did some private training after class and he was able to calm down without the other dogs in sight, and he is very smart! He has no trouble doing the obedience commands once you get his attention.

Wisely, his owner, Bela, signed Indy up for herding lessons at the same time he came to obedience class. That is Indys niche! It looks and sounds like he loved it and excels in herding. He's a natural and was finally able to calm down and not focus on other dogs. Perfect!!

Lesson to be learned: Obedience training is great to develop a well behaved pet, but every breed was bred for a purpose. Introduce them to that purpose to really complete them, both mentally and physically. These pictures were shared with me by Bela showing me Indy in action! ❤️❤️

Congrats to these two cuties who just finished Level 1 training and passed the AKC Star Puppy Test! The Star Puppy Test is an introductory level to the Canine Good Citizen Test.

The primary requirement to qualify to take this test is that the dog must be under 12 months old. Both Nora, the All American mix, and Jasper, the Great Pyranees, despite their large size 😅 qualified, and did great! 🥰

I have one opening remaining in the Level Two and CGC class starting Tuesday, July 18th at 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Enrollment is on a first come first served basis, so please don't delay!

If you attended my level one class and want to move up to the next level of obedience, this class is for you.

Even if you haven't taken my formal Level One program, you're welcome to attend if your dog knows the basic commands of sit, down, stay and come. Also, if your dog knows these obedience commands, but needs socialization skills to behave better around people and other dogs then this class is for you.

This is a 6-week program that focuses on the ten requirements to take the CGC test (Canine Good Citizen). The cost of the entire 6-week program including taking the CGC test is $150.

If you are a former student, I already have your contact data and information on your dog, so no additional application is necessary, just send me your email and let me know that you trained here before and who your dog is 😊.

I currently have one opening remaining (potentially 2) for the Beginner Level One Class that starts this coming Monday, July 17th from 5:30 PM until 6:30 PM! The class is held in Jefferson, Ohio and costs $150 for the entire 6-week program.

If you have an older dog that isn't well behaved, this class is for you! If you have a young dog that needs to learn to listen to you better, this class if for you! Or, if you have a very young puppy 3 months and older that you want to get off to a great start by teaching it good manners before bad habits develop, this class is for you!

Share this with that friend or relative that may need help with their man's best friend! This is a 6-week program that teaches your dog all the basic obedience commands, using many distractions, with an emphasis on developing a good pet that focuses on you and listens to you.

Apollo did great in Level One Obedience Training and is registered to move up to Level Two that starts next week where he will be taking the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. We're looking forward to the increasing challenge.

New graduate alert! Volt completed Level One Obedience Training today! He has an amazing family and shared his celebration day with a Cool Whip treat and the pool ball pit with baby Violet.
