This page is maintained by shelter staff members during their off hours. Since we usually post from home, we do not have up to the minute updates or the complete files of our animals. We do our best to answer any questions, but we encourage people to call (920-674-2048) or email ([email protected]) the shelter directly if you have questions regarding the status or the history of any of the shelter's animals for the most accurate answers.

Have you ever had the incredible experience of seeing a shy and shut-down pet blossom before your eyes? Thanks to the dedication and compassion of our staff and volunteers, we've been able to witness this transformation with Taron and Freya, bonded siblings who came to us back in March when their owner lost their home.

These two were understandably very stressed, confused, and scared when they not only lost the only home they've ever known but also their loving owner. They hid all day, every day, huddled together in their hiding box, only coming out in the quiet of night to eat and use the litter box.

As time went on, they slowly but surely started to adjust to their new environment, began to trust their new caregivers, and ventured out a little more during the calm times of the day. Gradually, they grew more confident and began to seek out the comfort of staff and volunteers who worked with them.

They can still be a little shy and aren't completely comfortable at the shelter, but they have progressed by leaps and bounds since they first arrived. We're hoping their new family will find them soon and allow them to continue their progress and get back to being the sweet, loving, and affectionate pets we know they truly are.

Frito is feeling a bit sad because we're having some trouble with our Facebook posts! We've begun to experience an issue that has been affecting many other pages for a few weeks now -- when followers share our posts they're being flagged as spam by Facebook and removed.

Unfortunately, no one seems to know why yet, so we're going to experiment a little and see if we can identify the issue. This is where you come in!

If you try to share any of our posts and it gets flagged as spam and removed, please comment on the post you tried to share to let us know. This will hopefully allow us to narrow down what type of posts are triggering the Facebook automated moderation bots to flag posts.

We've had some amazing donors come in recently that we'd like to thank!

Thank you to Purina Cares for making a ton of goodie bags to go home with our adopters!

Thank you to Doosan Bobcat of Johnson Creek who held a donation drive for us and then spent some time hanging out with the pets when they dropped off the supplies!

Our lovely lady Lourdes had a blast on sleepover with one of our staff members! She got to go for a car ride, relax on the deck, cozy up on the couch, and even snuggle in bed. She was an excellent houseguest who was on her best behavior!

Starting today -- we're expanding our Adopt a Cat month celebrations to include kittens! Not only do our cats over six months have half price adoption fees, but kittens under six months now have two-for-one adoption fees. It's a great time to adopt!

It's Small Animal Sunday! We'd like to introduce you to three ladies who have been waiting a LONG time to find a home. These three are currently our longest residents. Pollyanna has been waiting 176 days and bonded pair Candy & Cookie are right behind at 171 days.

One of our fabulous volunteers created this great video of adoptable Pork Chop! He's been waiting in shelters for a while now, and we don't know why!
