Back in the Spring of last year we told you we had some pretty amazing guests at the park one day and when the time came, we would tell you all about it.

Well, it’s here. That day we had a crew from TLC out featuring a young woman who lives not too far from the park and they were out to chronicle her journey in the hit television show My 600lb Life.

Jacky showed up to the park with some of her relatives and we got to meet one another. We’ve kept in contact since the recording and this month she has a huge milestone in her journey. On the 10th, she’ll undergo the excess skin removal surgery. She could use all of the positive vibes and prayers she can get as I can imagine how anxious she is for this day to come.

I want to say how incredibly proud I am to have watched her transform from a withdrawn young lady into a determined young woman who is chasing her new dreams.

I ask that you keep her in your prayers and send her well wishes for this next step on the journey. Please no negative comments. This takes an enormous amount of courage to expose all aspects of your life and ask for the change you so desperately want and need. It takes even more courage to wake up every day and go after it!

So let’s send Jacky and all of the individuals who are trying to take their lives back all of the well wishes we can.

I don’t know if the park and what it looked like almost a year ago will be featured, but we are so happy for Jacky none less.

Sending you many prayers for continued growth, strength, perseverance, and the change you strive for day in and day out. We will be lifting you up on surgery day!!!

On a serious note, we would like to thank each and every individual who visited the park this year. Our staff and our animals always enjoy the interaction with our visitors and we love to see the park through your eyes and your experiences.

We thank God for allowing us to be the caretakers of some amazing animals and we thank you for choosing to visit them and us this past year. We look forward to seeing you in 2025!!! Until then, be safe ringing in the New Year!

Yesterday was a very wet one indeed, but we are open today and have counted three new baby sheep that were born sometime during the downpour yesterday.

Our gates open at 10:30 AM and we take the last car in at 4:30 PM. We hope to see you and your family members out at the park, and if you’re bringing little ones who desire to do the petting and walk-through zoo, I would certainly plan to wear shoes that are waterproof or ones that you don’t care get very damp. We still have quite a bit of standing water on the ground in places and the ground is still very moist.

So come on out to 1782 N. US Highway 59 in Jefferson, Texas, and spend a little time visiting some of God‘s greatest creations.

And YES, we are open New Years Eve and New Years Day-weather permitting 🐾

We had a visitor to the park this morning. It was camped out on the east side of the park close to Black Cypress Bayou. In the six years we’ve been here, it’s the first time we have spotted one of these beauties.

Getting to be close and personal with some of Gods most amazing creations never gets old. These are just a few shots from omaround the park this week. We would like to remind you that animals are a lot like us humans. They are up and moving early looking for food. During the hottest points of the day (include that heat index because it can be ten degrees hotter) they enjoy the shade in the shaded routes, and they may even rest to conserve energy, just look we would do in the extreme temps. Whether you’re feeding them next to the car or enjoying them in their natural element, it is all magical. Don’t forget that we have over 50+ amazing creatures in the gift shop as well!
