Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads out there to those both two and four legged.
Yappy Valentine's Day! 💖🐾
AND THE WINNER IS .... wait, wait, wait, before we announce the winner the sled dogs and Ziva want to say THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone who participated in our fall raffle!
It takes approximately 5 bales of hay a week to keep the sled dogs warm and toasty during the cooler months. At approximately $5 a bale, and a 27 week “heating” season, our annual hay cost is roughly $675.
Thanks to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket, the sled dogs were able to raise $530 ($720 if you count the proceeds from the purchase of the gift certificate itself). Woof that's a lot of husky bucks and will offset the cost of purchasing the hay needed for this winter season.
Now, without further ado, what everyone is really waiting for ...
AND THE WINNER IS 🥁🥁🥁🥁
** Attention All Adopters **
Woof, bark, ruff! We are currently in the process of updating our website and we need your help!
We are looking for CURRENT photos of adopted sled dogs living their best adoptive lives to feature on the site. We are also looking for "testimonials" if you will about our adopter's experiences in welcoming a retired sled dog into their hearts and home.
If you have the time to lend a helping paw and can send a photo and/or some quick shareworthy words our way, we would really appreciate it! Feel free to DM us or send an email ([email protected]), whichever method works best for you.
What better way to warm up on a chilly day than with a cuddle buddy? The fires of love are a tried and true way to keep you cozy all year long and we have just the fella for you!
With just shy of a month until Valentine's Day, Yoshi is stepping up his adoption game because he wants nothing more than a love to call his own.
Woytush aka Yoshi, is a big lovable boy who is approximately 9 years young. He came to us back in 2015 along with several of his running mates after his owner passed from cancer. He has always had a love for running the trails and being a part of the team, but we would love nothing more than to find this aging fella a hooman to cuddle up with on the couch. Yoshi can be a bit timid to with new people but once he gets to know them and trust is built, he can be very sweet. While he would do best as the only four legger in the house, it's possible that he could coexist with the right calm and submissive friend.
Yoshi is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. He is used to living outdoors in a working kennel environment, so house training is necessary.
To learn more about Yoshi send us a message!
Did you know that October is Adopt A Shelter Dog Month?!
Even if you can’t currently adopt, there are tons of ways you can support adoptable dogs waiting for their furever homes at your local shelter.
🐶 Volunteer your time (and skills). Are you a great photographer? Offer to take some fun adoptable photos. Have boundless energy? Offer to walk doggies and work on leash manners.
🐶 Donate unused items in your home like blankets, towels, extra pet supplies, etc. These items can be used to help keep the four legger’s time in the shelter more comfortable.
🐶 Help encourage your friends and community members to consider adopting a shelter dog by sharing your pawsitive adoption experiences.
🐶 Ask! Don’t be shy, go ahead and reach out to your local shelter and ask how you can best support them and the four leggers they are caring for.
