The roundabout at Galilee Church Road and Winder Highway is under construction and causing delays. If you are coming from Galilee Church Road, you will be instructed to turn around. Jackson Trail Road is open. Please give yourself extra time.

We are having a wonderful time being spoiled during Staff Appreciation Week. Some of our favorite reps have provided us with lunch. On Wednesday, Dr. Anderson treated us to a day at the park where we had a picnic lunch from Uncle Chets BBQ and painted pumpkins from Merk Farms.

We are overwhelmed by your generosity this week. Thanks to you, we collected nearly 800 lbs of pet food! Our good friend and client, Becky Davis along with a team has transported it to Black Mountain, N.C. where it will be distributed throughout the community this weekend. We are thankful for your giving spirit and those who are on the ground helping. You've helped so many pets in need this week.

We will be accepting pet food donations for hurricane victims in North Carolina through Friday, October 11th. One of our trusted clients, Becky Davis, will be delivering the items. If you would like to help the pets in that area, please drop off donations in our lobby during regular business hours.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We will be accepting donations for Peace Place. If you would like to make a monetary donation or bring in items from their wish list, we will deliver them at the end of October.

We would like to introduce you to our newest veterinarian, Nic Rinke, DVM. "Nic" as he prefers to be called has been with us for about 6 months and it is now FB official.

Nic graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. In addition to working with us, he is also a PhD student in Infectious Diseases at UGA, where he studies parasitic worms and assists in teaching veterinary students.

Nic shares a love for cats and dogs, as well as cattle. He is passionate about small animal surgery and emergency medicine.

Nic has lived in Athens for 18 years, where he resides with his beautiful wife, Julia, their two sons, Luke and Ian, and two pups, Leia Ray and Ivy Belle. His hobbies include railroading, jazz music, and all things Star Wars.

Please welcome Nic to the team. We are grateful to have him.
