It's that time of year again!! Santa is coming to town!! This year J’s Photography pairing up with Santa Wix! If you'd like a session time other than what is listed here please message Jana. If you don't have a dog but still want a session with Santa she has a limited number of spots available for mini's the weekend of 12/6-12/8. Christmas pj's are highly encouraged!!There will also be tasty snacks for your pup as well as some hot chocolate and tasty treats for humans! Pricing is in the comments. Excited to see everyone!!

Updated adventures with Carl & Dùn:
Hope you all are doing so well! Today Dùn and I attended the 2024 Kentucky Statewide Trauma & Emergency Medicine Symposium at the Galt House where medical professionals gathered from all across the state and where Joelle, my wife and best friend, was a Guest Speaker concerning the difficult topic of caring survivors sexual assault. While Joelle did the heavy lifting, Dùn and I tagged along as both support for her and as both unofficial ambassadors for service dogs for first responders and therapy services for those connecting with Joelle following her lecture. Thank you so much to all of you for continuing to add value to my life through the awarding of this beloved pointy-eared companion of mine. My life is richer and more empowered because of each of you being in my life and the selfless work you’ve for me, my family, and others like me. Forever grateful!

Our staff at Duffys had the privilege to judge and emcee the Harvest Homecoming Dog Show in New Albany on Monday the 7th. It’s such a fun event with the kids and dogs. Thank you to the Harvest Homecoming, Inc. for allowing us to be a part of the festivities.

Training collars are an everyday part of training. Though some are not fans of training collars, we find that many prospective and new clients aren’t aware of the correct use of them. This is how the horrible stories of trauma and abuse come into conversations. Even though they aren’t for all dogs or owners, the training collars do have a place and time for use. True balanced training has to have positive and negative balance. Something to remember…. Do the positive so your companion knows what you’re looking for. Many times it’s the positive we don’t practice enough as dog owners.

Looking back we did a video on Meet Inara… she was donated by a local breeder, Bluegrass Country German Shepherds, and was trained for the work she is doing now. Her handler and her are rocking it out and here is a bit of her work at the training center.
