I don't say negative things about other dog trainers but if this person tries to get back into the dog training business, please, for the sake of your dog, do not trust her or anyone associated with her. Major fail on the laws that govern animal cruelty. I know a few people who got scammed by her; they lost thousands of dollars and their dogs were never the same and ended up with medical issues not present when the dogs were dropped off. One never recovered and had to be put down. We are not all like this.

One command, then the dog should comply (or not). Do not continue to repeat commands because your dog will learn to ignore you. If your dog does not comply, you correct them and put them (gently) in the position if you need to. I use the word "free" as my release word. I say it is a command in the video but it is not really a command. It just means the session is over for that point in time and they are "free" to move about. They are released from the position.

It's hot out there folks. Keep your dogs cool. Pay attention to the signs. Also, keep an eye on what their tongues look like. If they are flat a wide they need to be cooled off. Get them in some water or get water on them.
