These two pups were brought to us from an overwhelmed shelter in the path of Hurricane Helene. Now they’re looking for their people!

Greece is a brown and white beagle mix. She is 19 pounds, spayed and heartworm positive. Her new people will need to commit to bring her back to Hopewell for heartworm treatment (at no cost). She is adorable and sweet!

Helene is a 2 year old black mix breed dog. She weighs 25 pounds full-grown! She is sweet and a little shy, but ready to love!

We are still looking for homes for Bianca and Delilah (sisters) and Ophelia.

Bianca and Delilah are now around 5 months old and up to date on vaccines. We would love to see them go to a home together as they are a bonded pair.

Ophelia has been with us close to a year now, and although we adore her, we would love to see her in a forever home. She’s a very sweet and playful gal but would do best in a home without dogs. She doesn’t love other cats but has tolerated them without fuss.

Dog training at Hopewell!

Puppy: Once registered, you may start any week you choose and pay as you go. Our primary focus is socialization and play with other puppies, confidence building obstacles, and basic manners such as sitting, down and stay.

Beginner: Classes are starting right after Labor Day. All dogs over the age of 5 months are welcome to join. We'll cover sit/down/stay, wait, come, leave it, loose leash walking, waiting at all thresholds, no door dashing, eye contact and attention and sitting on approach for greeting. Age related behavioral issues can be addressed such as barking, jumping, counter surfing and digging.

We are still looking for a home for Ophelia. Ophelia is about 2 years old, up to date on vaccines and spayed. While she is not a fan of other animals and much prefers being the only pet, did you know Ophelia is a Phillies Phan? Her favorite player is Bryce Har-puuurrrr! Ophelia loves attention and loves to play but does not love to be held. She would do best in a home where she is the sole kitty.
