On Tues Aug 8th, we will be closing for a short period in the afternoon from 3pm until the parade is over (hopefully around 5:15-5:30). Our staff will be on a float participating in the Jerome County Fair parade and to help celebrate Dr Schabacker and his Lifetime Achievement Award. If you have a pet scheduled for surgery or a drop off, please pick up your pet by 3pm or you will have to wait until we return after the parade. If you have any questions, please call our front desk girls and they can assist you and make arrangements. Have A Wonderful DAY!!

The staff at Sawtooth and community of Jerome would like to congratulate our own Dr Charles Schabacker for receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award. Dr. Schabacker is an advocate for the furbabies in our area, especially for our local shelters and rescues. If you are joining the locals and watching the Jerome County Fair Parade tomorrow, Tuesday Aug 8th, send him a big wave and congratulations (he will be riding in a beautiful blue corvette!!) We so do appreciate all of his hard work that he gives to the furbabies in need.

We just wanted to give an update about this sweet dog, now known as sweet pea. She did good overnight, her eyes are bright and she ate/drank. She is a little nervous, but we are giving her lots of love and reassuring her that she is safe and going to be ok. This picture hurts my heart. First, someone tried to starve her to death. A good citizen found her and brought her in. We vetted and fed her. She is much, much better now. She has to stay in her cage hoping someone will play fetch with her(I try to in the afternoons, but we don't have alot of time to play).
Old dogs do not belong in a dog pound!
Please share, share, share! This old girl needs a home.

Due to mother nature not wanting to give up, the power is out and not expected to come back on for a couple hours. If you have a pet here for surgery/drop off, please stop in and check to see if your pet is ready. If you have an appointment, we will see what happens in the next few hours.

UPDATE, owner has been found and he is home safe!!
This little guy was taking a stroll in the West Ave G in Jerome. He is microchipped and has a current rabies tag, but the owners phone is not a working number. He was recently groomed, so someone is missing him. If you know this dog or it's owner, please contact Sawtooth Veterinary Services @ 208/324-5151.
