Let’s find these sisters a home! 🙏

Sweet sisters Roxie and Velma were rescued as kittens and have been with JerseyCats since July 2024. Somehow they are still waiting for a forever home to call their own.

Why the wait? Maybe because they’re black/tuxedo cats. Maybe because they’re a bonded pair and we won’t separate them. Maybe because Velma is a little shy. We don’t know for sure—but what we do know is that their perfect family is out there. 🐈‍⬛ 🐈‍⬛ 🏡

Roxie and Velma are incredibly sweet, affectionate girls who adore each other and love spending time with their foster parents. They’re cuddly, gentle, and would thrive in a calm, quiet home full of love. 💕 🛋️

No kitten should have to wait a whole year to be adopted. Please share their story and help us find these girls the forever home they deserve.

Roxie and Velma are about a year old, vaccinated, spayed and FeLV/FIV negative.

It’s a tale as old as time 😢

We unfortunately are not open 24/7/365 but if we could be open permanently, WE WOULD.

These sad dog faces waiting outside our closed shop are pure torture. 😩

Free treats are a basic doggo need and we are happy to oblige (when we’re open).

Store Hours:

🍖 Monday - Saturday: 10am - 8pm
🍖 Sunday: 11am - 7pm

Come by for a free treat and lots of love when we’re open and if we’re not open…good smells are always available! 😉 🧡 🐾

Wondering how hot is too hot? 🥵🥵🥵

Warmer air temperatures mean warmer pavement/blacktop which can be dangerous for paws!

If the air temperature is at or above 85 degrees, please do the following to keep your pup safe:

☀️ Test pavement/blacktop with the back of your hand or bare foot for five seconds. If the surface is too hot for you, it’s not safe for paws.

☀️ Keep your pup cool by avoiding the midday heat and walking in the shade and/or on the grass.

☀️ Always offer plenty of water before during and after summer walks. We carry a few collapsible bowls in the shop that are perfect for keeping clipped to the leash during walks.

☀️ Play in the water! Go for a swim or spray down your dog to help them stay cool.

☀️ Offer frozen treats! We love to offer our frozen bone marrow bones, frozen yogurt and fruit on a lickimat or a !

Keep in mind that for some dogs, even temperatures of 70-77 degrees can be too hot.

Not all dogs react the same to the heat. Be sure to pay extra close attention to your dog’s cues on hot summer days! 🧡🐾

Say hello to Gandalf and Nori! 🐈 🐈‍⬛

These adorable kittens were rescued after being found abandoned—or possibly stuck—on a fire escape. We don’t know how they ended up there, but we’re incredibly grateful to our friend Christina, who channeled her inner Spider-Man to pull off a daring rescue!

Gandalf and Nori aren’t biological siblings—he’s about six months old, while she’s closer to three and a half—but you’d never know it from the way they adore each other. Nori idolizes her big “brother” and follows him everywhere, while Gandalf is her gentle protector, always ready to scoop her up for a cuddle.

This bonded pair must be adopted together!
