Meet Bam Bam! 👋

Bam Bam is a 1–2-year-old Dachshund mix with a BIG personality packed into his little 20–25 lb body! 🤩🤩

He’s the perfect mix of playful and snuggly—small enough for cozy spaces, but with plenty of energy to keep life exciting. 🛋️ 🎾

Bam Bam loves starting his day with some zoomies or a spirited play session and is just as happy to settle in for a nap when it’s time to relax. He gets along well with other small dogs, making him a fun and friendly addition to any home. 🐶🏡

This smart little guy is already a pro at standing on his hind legs for treats and is working hard on mastering “sit”—he’s eager to learn and please! 🧠✨

Bam Bam is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines, making him ready to find his forever home.

‼️Any time temperatures drop below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, all pet parents need to be aware that their fur babies can develop cold-associated health problems like hypothermia or frostbite.

Extreme Cold Weather Tips for Pets:

❄️ Keep walks and outdoor time both short and monitored
❄️ Dry off paws and bodies upon coming indoors
❄️ Consider a coat for pets with thinner fur

Your year-end donation will help pay for Velma’s liquid nitrogen cryotherapy for her eyelid agenesis! 💕

Velma and her sister Roxie were rescued from a very dangerous situation in July. During their first appointment at Sage, Dr. Beard noticed an issue with Velma’s eyelids. A follow-up visit to the Veterinary Eye Center in Manhattan confirmed she has eyelid agenesis, a congenital condition where her upper eyelids didn’t form properly. Without this eyelid barrier, Velma’s fur constantly rubs against her corneas—ouch!

While we’ve waited for her to get big enough for treatment, Velma’s eyes have been soothed with lubricant administered three times daily. She’s now been cleared for her procedure! Velma will undergo liquid nitrogen cryotherapy to remove the hairs irritating her eyes. How cool is that!? 😮

Velma’s cryotherapy will cost $3,500, and your donation will help us cover these costs. This darling, cuddly girl will feel so much better soon!
