New Home Needed!

This is Titan, an American Bulldog/Shar Pei mix born on 11/11/22. He weighs approximately 65 lbs and is not neutered. He is up to date on vaccines. Unfortunately, he suffers from severe littermate syndrome with his brother, and his current home situation isn’t meeting his needs due to it.

We are unsure how he is with other dogs or children, so a calm, understanding environment would be best for him. Willing to do meet & greets with resident animals and family members.

Requirements:
• Veterinary references are required.
• If for any reason he is not a good fit, we ask that you contact us so we can take him back.

Thanksgiving is a time for family, friends, and of course, delicious food—but did you know some of your holiday favorites can also be shared with your furry best friend? Here’s a list of dog-safe goodies:

🦃 Turkey (plain, skinless, and boneless)
🥔 Mashed Potatoes (no butter, cream, or seasoning)
🍠 Sweet Potatoes (plain and cooked)
🥕 Carrots (raw or steamed)
🍎 Apples (no seeds or core)
🥦 Green Beans (plain and cooked)
🎃 Pumpkin (plain puree, not pie filling)

Foods to Avoid:
❌ Stuffing (onions, garlic, and spices are harmful)
❌ Gravy (too much fat and seasoning)
❌ Pies and desserts (sugar and artificial sweeteners are toxic)

Let’s talk dog nail care! 🐾 Trimming your dog’s nails regularly is essential for their comfort, health, and mobility. Here’s what you need to know to keep those paws happy:

1. Why Nail Trims Matter:
Long nails can make it uncomfortable for your dog to walk, affect their posture, and even lead to joint pain over time. Regular trims help avoid these issues and prevent nails from breaking or splitting.

2. How Often to Trim:
Most dogs need a nail trim every 3-4 weeks. However, it can vary depending on their activity level and how quickly their nails grow. If you hear their nails clicking on the floor, it’s probably time for a trim!

3. Tips for a Smooth Trim:
Make sure you’re in a calm environment, and use quality dog nail clippers or a grinder. Take off small bits at a time, especially with dark nails where it’s harder to see the “quick” (the vein inside the nail). If you’re unsure or your pup is anxious, our team is always here to help!

We have 1-2 spots available for bath dogs and small dogs on a regular maintenance schedule, and a handful left open for rescheduling pending winter weather.

New clients interested in booking for the new year are encouraged to complete our client intake form.

If you would like to be added to the waitlist for appointments before Christmas, please reach out to us. They will be contacted in the order they were received the day prior to the available appointment.
