ARF introduces Cher!!
Are you looking for a smart, affecionate, small dog? Check out Cher!

This sweet girl is about 7 months old and has only been in her foster home about 6 weeks. She has already learned to sit and stay, play with other dogs and the people in her home, and with her toys - loves, loves, loves her toys! On top of that she has taught herself to keep her toys in her crate when she's not playing with them. Her foster parent thinks she would fit in quite well with another pup about her age or alone with anyone willing to spend time loving her! She is spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative and on a preventative.

ARF’s Misty

Misty is a spayed brown eyed “Blue” 6-9 month old 40 lb Boston Terrier mix (some say hound, some say bulldog)… her foster says she’s a cutie!

Found on a holiday week on a wooded dirt road, emaciated and tick ridden, Misty is a survivor. Per the vets, her tail was broken (now healed) in two spots, so it will never be a thick tail. Although it’s crooked Misty still wags it when happy.

Misty utilizes the doggie door non stop to run zoomies in her fosters big back yard along with the other dogs that are twice her size. She even met a Great Dane and went nose to nose without issues.

Misty loves…. Food! her foster is still working on the food feeding, so for now she is fed in a crate until all the dogs are done eating.

Misty says many of her favorite things… besides food (lol), she loves her doggie door, big fenced yard, playing and barking with other bigger dogs. Snoozing on the couch, sleeping with her humans is a priority. Her favorite color is purple.

Misty says no to the following: fussing at her because she likes taking shoes, socks, out the doggie door into the yard, not being able to finish other dogs meals, esp. doesn’t like be toweled dried when wet. Traffic scares her, but pawing at frogs doesn’t. She’s very shy at first, but is a happy furbaby.

Is this your dog? Looks like black shepherd and is with 2 small black and tan looking shepherds. Running loose near Orange and 4th St. Please help get them home safely! They ran in traffic when approached.

ARF introduces…SONNY

This cute Terrier mix is 15 lbs of love. Creamy tan fur with floppy ears and is now available for adoption!

Sonny loves playing with dogs his size and energy level. At 8 mos old, Sonny is already crate trained, housebroken, neutered and on heartworm prevention. He is the total package!

TILLY has been adopted !!!!!! We have had Tilly since she was a baby! Thank you so much Dory and Jill for fostering this sweet girl! Tilly Said, “ I am so thankful for my new family!” I slept in their bed my first night there! I also have a sister who is super sweet and accepted me right away! Love and kisses! 🐾❤️ Tilly also said, “ please consider rescuing a shelter dog. Don’t be a Dumper! Be an Adopter!!!!! Happy Tails Tilly!

Thank you all for coming out to our annual FREE microchip/vaccine event!
79 pets are now microchipped and vaccinated.
The numbers were a little lower this year , but we celebrate knowing these 79 can be returned to owners if get lost and get checked for microchips!
Please be safe during the upcoming firework festivities and fireworks. Keep your animals inside. The shelters are already packed and there is no room for Strays !
Huge thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who came out today for WAGS Rescue, Inc, ARF and FabuCats as We proudly team up together and help our community!

Tilly was rescued through ARF from the Wayne County Animal Control facility!

Tilly is less than a year old. This adorable 60 lb girl is bursting with love. She stands a bit smaller than a 5 gallon bottle of water. Pawfect for snuggling and is great with kids.

Her short black fur with touches of white on her small paws makes her irresistible.

Tilly is a bit shy at first but warms up quickly. Tilly walks great on a leash, enjoys sunbathing in the local pond, and just loves human company!

Turn on your heartlight and let it shine to adopt Tilly! She’s looking for a “furever” home, she wants to share her happy glow with you.

BUDDY !

ARF rescued BUDDY from our local Animal Control facility in Wayne County!

BUDDY is a tri-colored Walker Foxhound, approximately 4 years old. Quite a handsome dog plus his short hound fur is so soft. He is very shy for a tall, lean 65 lb. fur baby.

ARF’s Buddy would prefer a home that has an older dog or just himself is even better! He has a good relationship with other fur babies, but with his shyness it tends to make him submissive and thus keeps to himself.

Buddy no longer hunts; rather he enjoys being inside with human company and of course a/c! When he has your attention to himself, BUDDY’s loving personality radiates your heart.

Great with kids and family. Buddy loves giving his long legs a stretch on his leisurely walks, certainly not a leash puller. Rides in a car without jumping from seat to seat. Buddy is housebroken, utilizing a doggie door to go in and out as needed. Storms, loud noises, crates or even an outside pen are not best for Buddy. He is an excellent family dog that would love a doggy bed and a family to call his own.

As with all ARF dogs, he’s been neutered, UTD on shots; microchipped, along with the monthly heartworm prevention.

TIPPY !

ARF rescued Tippy from our local Animal Control facility in Wayne County!

Tippy is almost a year old with short jet-black Labrador Retriever hair. Her back paws are dotted with white on the tip of her toes. She’s a very lean 60+ pound furbaby.

Like many pound dogs, hard to tell their mix, we can see the Retriever part, but the rest in unknown. Two of her siblings are also in the ARF Foster system (Buster & Jazzy). Tippy truly wants a home of her own to grow old with you.

Tippy is great walking on a leash; even without a collar she didn’t pull out of it!
Loves running and play with other dogs, plus jumping in with them into the pond.
Toys are a plus, and playing with kids is her favorite hobby.
Her long tail swishes away when showing how happy she is.

Her soft floppy ears are perfect for rubbing, a great stress reliever for us humans

Want to watch a movie, Tippy will gladly snuggle next to you.

Having a rough day – or a happy day, Tippy will gladly be apart of it.

Help Tippy get her own doggie bed at night & let’s get her a furever home of her own.

As with all ARF dogs, she’s been spayed, UTD on shots; microchipped, along with the monthly heartworm prevention.

JAZZY !


Jazzy was rescued through ARF from our local Animal Control facility in Wayne County!

Jazzy’s short golden Labrador Retriever fur is perfect for the hot summer ahead. However, her snazzy, dazzling eyes dance & shine making her irresistible.

ARF’s Snazzy Jazzy she could be a movie star!! Or maybe when you adopt her, she can be your Princess. Like many pound dogs, hard to tell their mix, we can see the Golden Retriever part, but the rest in unknown.

Have a pond; she’ll be splish-splashing away having a grand time. Jazzy loves her Kong ball, especially when kids (or adults) toss the ball with her. Jazzy is very lean and knows how to sit. Jazzy is semi good with stay but being under a year old, she rather play or go for long walks. Be aware she isn’t a barker but does know how to look for a hand to pet her & be given poochie smooches. She’s hard to resist with her heart of gold that matches her short golden fur.

Jazzy has perfected the use of a doggie door, loves her fenced in yard. She gets silly by rolling over with her ball in her mouth, sunning her under carriage. Jazzy is great walking with her other furbabies pals and family. Loves running and playing with kids, adults, even cautious around seniors or toddlers trying very hard so she won’t knock them over.

As with all ARF dogs, she’s UTD on shots; microchipped, along with the monthly heartworm prevention. Jazzy has been spayed, so no worries about any oops litters from her.

TILLY !


Tilly was rescued through ARF from the Wayne County Animal Control facility!

Tilly is approximately 10 months old; around 60 pounds, a combination of bulldog and possibly lab. Her white chest is bursting with love. Her short black fur with touches of white on her small paws makes her irresistible. Tilly is very shy at first but warms up quickly. Tilly walks great on a leash, enjoys sunbathing in the local pond. Gets along great with many of her doggie pals and loves humans. She doesn’t shed much, just enjoys being with people. Tilly savors her velvety ears gently rubbed, and mellow when relaxing. She enjoys car rides, walking, playing, and is entertaining chasing chickens out of the yard. While inside, she alerted with a low bark (plus her posture and ears), when a different car came down the driveway. An appreciable trait to know about Tilly.

Tilly wants her own doggie bed and would treasure having a family to love and spend time with. Tilly will be "furever" loving to her new family. She loves her foster family and "fur playmates” but really craves a family of her own to show all the love she has.

Tilly has been spayed and microchipped. She is up to date on all vaccines, plus on monthly heart worm prevention. Tilly is just waiting for her furever family!
