Thank you to all that donated pet food and treats for our Pet Food Drive for North Carolina! I saw on Facebook Wayne County Concerned Citizens, that Kylie McGregor, with Hospice of Southeast Georgia was collecting donations and taking a shipment to North Carolina on December 14th. One short phone call later and we had a food pick up scheduled. Below you can see that Kylie, Kaylee and Adrianne filled up the back of this van with pet food. That is pet food in all of those boxes provided by Hills! Thank you to Kylie McGregor, Kaylee Mosley and Angie Sturgill for all of your kindness and efforts in taking all of these collected items to the people of Asheville, Black Mountain and Swannanoa. May God bless you and keep you safe! There is still one more day to donate if you would like. You can take items to Hospice of Southeast Georgia. I know they still need propane for heating and cooking. Contact Kylie for a list of needs 912-432-9399.

*EDIT* Ok, so when we said don't "feel" wild animals, what we really meant was don't FEED wild animals ... but you probably shouldn't feel them either, because, rabies.

A raccoon from St. Simons Island has tested positive for rabies after attacking a feral cat in an area near Frederica Road and Harrington Road. This is an important reminder that rabies can circulate in several species of wild animals in coastal Georgia, including raccoons, foxes, and bats. Residents are urged not to feel wild animals or attempt to domesticate feral cats, and pet owners are reminded to ensure their animals get regular rabies shots.

Hi I’m Dr. Ashley Shepard! I’m from Washington state and I am a recent graduate from the University of Arizona. I’m focused on mixed animal medicine and I hope to become certified in acupuncture this spring. I have two miniature dachshunds that are my whole world and several horses! In my spare time I enjoy reading, horseback riding and spending time with my family. I’m happy to be a new addition to the Wolfe Animal Hospital family!

Todays highlight is our Groomers! Elizabeth, Jasmaine and Jameson. These ladies deal in fur and lots of it. It is definitely an art form. It takes patience, perseverance, steady hands, standing for long periods of time, loud noises, being wet most of the day and always covered in hair.
They are the Ultimate Fur Stylists. Great job ladies!!❤️

Somehow I missed posting Dr Halls birthday yesterday🤦🏼‍♀️. This man is very dear to all of our hearts! From the way he loves on our pets, the patience that he shows to all of our unending questions, the kindness that he shows to everyone to the smile he wears every day.❤️
