It never gets old... although my boy, my heart, DONUT 🍩, is quietly becoming a little old man now... about 11 years.

DONUT 🍩 is simply another great love of my life... I just know that BUTTERS sent him to me. So many qualities just like BUTTERS.

BACON 🥓 is my baby boy - a mamma's boy for sure. His energy is boundless still at almost 7 years (his birthday is coming up soon).

My heart is filled with such joy watching these boys have so much fun outside.

Great Hedgehog info… winter is coming & they are getting ready for hibernation.

Just like the opossum, these animals are great for the eco-environment.

If you find a "dead" hedgehog during the cold months, do not bury it, do not throw it in the trash...
No one wants to see a dead animal in their garden or road, but it could be a hedgehog hibernating from November to March.
They usually dig holes to stay safe, but we have less green areas, bushes or wooded areas these days and it’s becoming harder to find a safe place to spend the winter sleeping.

Some may come into your gardens seeking safety and warmth to hibernate, some are so exhausted from looking that they end up sleeping in various strange places like roadside streets or even on pavements.

When they are in hibernation, their heart rate and general body functioning slow down considerably, as a way of saving energy that can confuse a person that the hedgehog is dead.

Just in case you see a stationary hedgehog, make sure it is in a safe and warm place and that it can last five months.

If you find a hedgehog in your garden or somewhere on the street, make a hole in a cardboard box and in a dry, safe and quiet place so it can spend the cold months there.

Hedgehogs are an endangered species, they are completely harmless and very important in our ecosystem. They eat beetles, snails, frogs, lizards, snakes, including poisonous.

They also destroy mice nests.

They are not afraid of bees or wasps. The hedgehog can easily destroy a hornet's nest and eat its inhabitants by ignoring their bites.

Scientists have long noticed the immunity of hedgehogs to strong poisons, including bites from insects. This antidote phenomenon is not yet known to scientists.

Be aware when you see a hedgehog in the cold months. It costs nothing to help such a fragile wee thing.

Let's be kind to animals!

Blessed Tueday family: Woohoo I am now 13 years old and that makes me a teenager or if you do it by human years I am 82. That makes me older than mom and dad and does that mean I be the boss BOL. Mom said this evening I get a cupcake and ice cream to celebrate my birhtday. Yesterday mom posted in the Cenla Buy Nothing page and we had people all day coming to get the garage sale left overs for free. Mom said there about 2 boxes left and she will pack it up this weekend and take to one of the places that helps others. When daddy got home he was so surprised the yard be neat and tidy again and everything is in the tent. There was one family that had a small girl and she saw me and came running to me and mom told me easy Zoe. I sat and she started petting me and we both sat in the yard while her mom looked and when she asked mom my name, mom told her Zoe and she said that was her name to but she spells it Zoey. They were here for about 20 minutes and the two of us just sat and she talked to me. Her mom told mom they had to just help their dog over the Rainbow Bridge last week and their Zoey was raised with him. Mom told me when they left that I was such a good girl and helped eased her heart. I lubs you and you have a wonderful blessed day and be safe, healthy and share them sweet smiles, hugs n kisses, Zoe
Thank you mom for making this picture for me.

October Days...
A perfect, breezy, mildly warm, low humidity fall day 🍁

I never tire of watching DONUT🍩 rolling in the grass. He's so joyful.

October is rolling in along with cooler weather, changing & falling leaves...

My heart, DONUT 🍩, is a little old man now (approx 11 years) & enjoying his senior years. 6.5 years he has been with us now & pray for many more.

The joy that fills my heart to watch him roam the yard & roll around, the way leaves stick to his fur, his little prance... is priceless. 💜🐾

DONUT 🍩 is a gift sent from BUTTERS. My heart is full.
