School is starting back up but that doesn’t mean lessons end. As the days start cooling off we offer evening and weekend lessons here at Rocking Double J.

Lessons available for ages 8 and up!
Always wanted to learn to ride but you’ve figured it was to expensive or that lessons were only for kids?
Lessons are only $30 per person!
Also at Rocking double J we take all age students over 8 years of age.
It doesn’t matter if you never been on a horse or if you’ve ridden and just want to learn more or get your confidence back from an accident.
We’ve got you covered!

We specialize in western riding for beginners and novice riders in most all disciplines.

We also offer beginner English riding where we can get you started on the basics and help you move on to a higher level trainer in your chosen discipline.

Here I took our main lesson gelding Galahad out for a gallop after a nice little trail ride.

I am back from my maternity leave and it’s that time of year again school is out and it’s time to get those kids into summer activities.

I am offering riding lessons again this summer starting at $30 per student.
As before I offer both English and western riding lessons along with husbandry lessons.
Students will learn horse to saddle and handle their horse as well as how to keep they horse healthy and happy. They will learn about feeding and hoof care along with how to properly bathe and brush their horse.

I have openings available Mondays, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. I will have 2 possibly 3 spots open on each day you will of course need to notify me in advance which spot you would like and also if you have to cancel the lesson.

Well folks here it is. Rocking Double J’s new sign is ordered and on its way. This sign will be road side in our arena so you can’t miss it when you come out to ride.

Rocking Double J will be offering summer riding lessons Starting around the beginning of April (weather permitting) lessons will be first held on weekends or after school from 5-dark after school is out lessons will be available all days of the week with two slots open per day.

Recommended Ages 8+

Lesson are 30 minutes of grooming/tacking up roughly 1 hour of riding and 30 minutes of untacking/clean up. Lessons are $25 per lesson per person.

Disciplines available include - Beginner Basics, western pleasure, beginner reining, barrel racing, beginner jumping, beginner Dressage, Reining cow horse, horsemanship, halter,

Other topics that will be covered will be - Nutrition, Care and Maintenance, Breeding, Horse Colors, Proper wound and injury care, Proper Saddling and Bitting.

More advanced students will learn about - Foal handling and breaking, how to properly start a young horse, and how to deal with a difficult horse.
