This week’s client highlight showcases two of the sweetest in Kiwi and Mitzey. They’re two pees in a pod! Mitzey brings the s***k and Kiwi responds with an eye roll 🙄 😂
Side note: How great does Kiwi look for 16 years old!?! 🎉🎉 She officially has her drivers license and can drive Mitzey to the movies. Their mom is passionate about preventative care and it shows, not many dogs make it to Kiwi’s age! Good job mom!

🚨Patient Highlight 🚨
Meet Huck! Huck is a Boykin Spaniel with ALL the energy. ALL. THE. ENERGY.😳😳😳. Huck came in a few weeks ago for a recheck of a broken toe. Huck, being Huck, injured his toe running through the fields with his dad. Thankfully, the toe that was broken was a “non-weight bearing” digit. That means that most of the time, you can get away without doing surgery.
Huck was placed in a splint for a few weeks and the goal is to let this fracture heal naturally. 🩻
Huh? What was that? Did you just ask what happens if it WAS a “weight-bearing digit”? Great question, I’ll explain below.
If this was a weight-bearing digit (the middle two digits on dogs). Then this likely would have required corrective surgery. This can get mighty tricky since it’s hard to get dogs to not use a particular limb. Especially Huck, he may or may not be a little hard headed.
