You might remember the story of baby Shae, a kitten we rescued over the summer who needed an amputation to save her life.

Shae just turned 6 months old this week, and look at her now! She is healthy, happy and strong, and won the adoption lottery when she found her human mom.

We provide you all that you'll need to take care of them. You provide a safe, separate space for them to be in. If you have no experience, no big deal. We'll talk you through this!

Aurora and Simba are becoming close pals. They are the total yin and yang duo. Simba is shy and reserved and Aurora is a big attention seeker. Simba is a big boy at almost 8 pounds and 7 months old. Aurora is 5 pounds and about 5 months old. They are looking for their forever home where they can watch the birds together. Fostered through Fierce Animal Rescue

Here’s another sneak peek. This little love bug is Aurora. She’s a riot and just loves anything to do with strings. We estimate her to be between 4-5 months of age. Once she has her spay she will be ready to go. She will be making a debut at our event Saturday at Nature's Feed: Natural Pet Products, Pet Food, and Pet Supplies.

Meet Ike and Tina!

Ike and Tina were rescued in 2021 as kittens from a feral colony in Ingleside. They were quickly adopted together to a wonderful man named Bob.

Bob would visit us when we had adoption events in Wauconda. We would really enjoy hearing about Ike and Tina and their antics as they grew from kittens to adults!

He was an amazing person and he gave his cats the best life ever, spoiling them with every toy and cat treat he could find.

Sadly, 2 weeks ago Bob passed away, leaving Ike and Tina behind.

Ike and Tina are both friendly, social, and playful kitties who are looking for a home where they can stay together and continue to be spoiled rotten like they're used to.

In return, they will help keep you warm this winter! There's no place they'd rather be than snuggled with you in bed or sitting on your lap while you're on the couch reading a book or watching TV.

Silly and adorable Sully is ready to be adopted!

Sully is a large kitten who we expect to get even larger. At just 6 months old, he's already well over 8 lb! He loves to be picked up, snuggled, and will quite insistently follow you around wherever you are! He's a friendly boy who sometimes gets overwhelmed by new sounds and quick movements, so he will need a family that understands and is patient with him.

Sully loves feather wand toys, and anything electronic that moves is a huge hit with him, too!

He would be great as a not so little brother for an existing feline family member, or he would be quite happy to get all of the attention for himself!

Meet Barry and Mandy! Rescued and named after Barry Manilow on the evening of his recent Chicago concert tour! :) Barry and Mandy are a sweet, young brother/sister duo who will dance, sing, and cuddle their way into your heart! Barry is a handsome brown tabby, and Mandy is a sleek, black haus panther! They have been socialized and spoiled by a wonderful teenage volunteer in Cary (Thank you Kyra, for your help 💜) Reach out to us at [email protected] for more information!

According to our calendars, today is National Kitten Day! Whoohoo! We have plenty of kittens to help us celebrate! These babies aren't quite ready yet, but we hope you enjoy a sneak peek! We are still searching for kitten foster homes! The more help we have, the more kittens we can save! If interested, please send us a Facebook message, or an email at [email protected].

Every rescue in this area is being flooded with requests right now for help with outdoor cats and kittens. As the seasons change, rescuers try their hardest to find placements for each and every kitten out there who needs help. Rescuers sometimes need help themselves. We are unfortunately limited by the amount of space we have in foster homes and we are struggling to keep up. We were contacted this morning by a family in McHenry who is looking for help with four kittens. They are adorable, sweet, playful little critters who deserve a chance at an indoor life. Does anyone have room in their home to help these guys? We need a foster home in order to help them. E-mail us at [email protected].

Here is George. George got neutered this week through ANIMAL SERVICES AND ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS, INC. Thank you so much to Cindy for all of her hard work in McHenry County to make things better for outdoor cats! George has a wonderful family who takes care of him. Have a great life, George!

What a wonderful boy! Angus is a 10-year-old sweetheart of a boy who is available for adoption now at McHenry Animal Care and Control in Crystal Lake!
