This poor wild Hognose snake was found missing an eye and half of his face .. Fallon brought him to us in hopes that we could fix him up. A little love and time and this hognose was healed up and ready to be set free..
I think Society forgets that these aren't aggressive beings but are just animals like any other. They are animals like your cat or dog.
They only want to be left alone and sent on their way to search for food or to bask and feel the sun.
Killing them will only do harm to the environment, take away our chances to discover new medicines, and keep rodent populations down.
If you see a snake, just leave it be and they will be on their way. If you are concerned about a rattlesnake being around your property with kids etc, call a local wildlife removal service so that the animal can be in peace elsewhere and continue to do it's part..

Such a cool moment to be able to watch when a snake completes its shedding cycle. The scientific term for this is called Ecdysis. Snakes can shed many times in their life. Young animals tend to shed more frequently because they are growing more frequently than adult animals. This is our yellow Anaconda (Eunectes notaeus). Yellow Anacondas females can reach up to 15 feet! However the green anaconda can get even larger and heavier bodied! The Yellow anaconda is found the Paraguay River and its tributaries, from the Pantanal region in Bolivia, Paraguay, and western Brazil to northeastern Argentinaand northern Uruguay. They prefer mostly aquatic habitats, including swamps, marshes, and brush-covered banks of slow-moving rivers and streams.
