The Exotic Resort Zoo Are you looking for your own SAFARI adventure? We’re right here!! Centrally located to ATX & SATX! 🦒 This is the place for you!

When visiting us, you'll embark on an adventure through 137 sprawling wooded acres where 700+ exotic animals from 50 different species roam freely! We have a few different options for our daily visitors:

(1) Drive your OWN car through the park to visit the animals. Keep in mind that we are not responsible for damages to the vehicle from hooves, antlers or horns. That's just part of the FUN! * Onl

(2) For a more unique and interactive experience, take a ride on the wild side on one of our Guided Tours! This is an open air tractor-trailer ride where the animals come from ALL directions. With a one-of-a-kind Tour Guide at your disposal, you’ll learn all about our babies and how we extend and preserve exotic wildlife here in Texas. * No reservations or online tickets needed for Guided Tour. *

We are a family-owned and operated business. So, it is each of YOU that keep us here and our animals taken care of. We can't wait to see you, whether it be a daily visit or an extended stay in one of our cabins.

Planning a visit to the Exotic Resort Zoo this Spring Break? Here are a few of our PRO TIPS:
1️⃣ Buy your tickets ONLINE to guarantee entry (especially drive-thru
guests - we sell limited tickets to prevent traffic jams.)
2️⃣ Arrive EARLY! Tours begin at 9am - the animals get lazier as the
day goes on. This especially applies if you’d like to participate in our or encounters!
3️⃣ Bring patience: Spring Break is our busiest time of the year!
4️⃣ If you opt for the Guided Tour, bring cash to tip our Tour
Guides.
5️⃣ Pack a lunch! Bring some snacks or your favorite drinks along! Just be prepared to share with the camels.

🗣️ Happiest of Birthdays to the man behind the curtain — our founder & owner, Dennis!

Dennis started the park on a whim but it quickly turned into his dream… he quite literally developed the property with his bare hands and crazy ideas. And, we couldn’t be more thankful. Almost thirty years later, he is still at the center of everything we do! 🎂

It’s about time to begin your prep!! 🕺🏽

The Exotic Resort Zoo is open for regular operations over the break!
🚜 Our Guided Tours begin at 9am, and the last one leaves no later than 5pm. Please keep in mind, that this is easily our busiest time of the year! So, wait-times will vary depending on the rate visitors. We have six trams that will load and go as frequently as possible, so please bear with us!

Additionally, this is one of the longest weeks for our amazing Tour Guides, so remember to bring cash if you’d like to tip for their extraordinary work! We would not be here without their dedication and eagerness to ensure each of you have an amazing adventure!

🚗 Remember, you are also welcome to join us for a Drive-Thru Tour.
We only allow ten cars per hour to prevent traffic jams. So, for this option you must buy tickets online and reserve a time slot! If there are no more slots available, your only option will be the Guided Tour.
However, that’s what we recommend for a better experience anyway.
So, it’s a win-win!

ADDITIONAL ENCOUNTER OPPORTUNITIES:
🦒 Don’t forget about the opportunity to feed Matrix, the Reticulated Giraffe. He is on a special diet, so to interact with him, you may purchase 3 romaine lettuce leaves for $5. He is a big boy and can eat a lot of snacks, however, Spring Break will be a week-long Thanksgiving feast for him. Which means, he may get full in the afternoons. So, we recommend you visit early if this is an experience you’d like to enjoy.

🐀 Our Capybaras, Chloe & Clyde, are also ready to see you! We will charge $5/person for a few minutes with the world’s largest rodent… similar to Matrix, our Capybaras may start feeling antisocial as the day drags on. So, visit early for a more opportune chance to see these up close and personal!

Who wore it best?? 😂😂The #FallowDeer typically enjoy their rut (breeding season) during late autumn and early winter! During this time, the boys become extremely excited and can be found defending their territory and ladies. They rub their antlers on any and every thing: the ground, trees, weeds, fences, buildings, cars… you name it!! 👀These dudes seem to be carrying their mischief with them… 🤣🤣 Come out to see us for a crazy experience this holiday break! Our tours are running from 9am to 4:30pm every day. ✨
