When visiting us, you'll embark on an adventure through 137 sprawling wooded acres where 700+ exotic animals from 50 different species roam freely! We have a few different options for our daily visitors:

(1) Drive your OWN car through the park to visit the animals. Keep in mind that we are not responsible for damages to the vehicle from hooves, antlers or horns. That's just part of the FUN! * Onl

(2) For a more unique and interactive experience, take a ride on the wild side on one of our Guided Tours! This is an open air tractor-trailer ride where the animals come from ALL directions. With a one-of-a-kind Tour Guide at your disposal, you’ll learn all about our babies and how we extend and preserve exotic wildlife here in Texas. * No reservations or online tickets needed for Guided Tour. *

We are a family-owned and operated business. So, it is each of YOU that keep us here and our animals taken care of. We can't wait to see you, whether it be a daily visit or an extended stay in one of our cabins.

Here at the Exotic Resort Zoo, we stand with our troops. We honor our military every day with a 20% off discount - but this MONDAY (11/11), we're offering free admission for our active and veteran military! 🇺🇸

Free admission is strictly for those who serve or have served. We understand being involved in the military is a family ordeal, but our discount this year will not apply to spouses, children, parents, etc.

Tyler, the , doesn’t care what the temps are outside - he’s always down for a good soak! 💦

Here are a few reasons why these guys reside in or around the water:
1️⃣ Tapirs often submerge themselves underwater to cool off & to keep insects off of them
2️⃣ Tapirs eat aquatic plants and forage for food in the water
3️⃣ Tapirs can wash off ticks and other parasites in the water
4️⃣ Tapirs can use the water to hide from predators like jaguars and pumas. They can submerge themselves underwater and use their snout as a snorkel to breathe!

Got pumpkins? 🎃

Whether you are a ‘Christmas season starts on November 1st’ enthusiast or a ‘post-Thanksgiving decorator’, you can’t keep those Halloween pumpkins forever!

When you are done displaying them, bring them over on your next visit! Your pumpkins are a gourmet treat for our furry friends; jam-packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Just please make sure that your pumpkins are paint, glue & craft free! ✨

Happy Friday, bestie boops! 🦓

Here are a few fun facts about our Guided Tour:
1️⃣ The tours do NOT leave on a schedule - rather, we make our schedule around you! The first family that comes in & signs up for a tour will start our 30 minute timer. And, we leave with just that one family or anyone else who arrives during that time frame! This goes all day long from 9am to 5pm.
2️⃣ Each tour is UNIQUE! The animals are not trained to behave a certain way, so they join us as they please for as little or as long as they’d like to. Additionally, our guides are not given a script. They are free to conduct their tour however they please - and, they put a lot of work into making it the BEST experience for you!
3️⃣ You can move freely about the tram. This allows you to get as close or stay as far away from the animals as they join us for snacks. Just keep in mind that slobber is a mandatory souvenir!

These are just a few ways that we keep our manageable for us and FUN for you! Have you visited us before for a one-of-a-kind ride on the wild side? 🚜

This will affect a number of our operations:
- No electricity in any guest building
- No running water in any facility
- No transactions can be completed in-house, i.e. no ticket or resale sales

Because of this, we are shutting down the & for the day. You are welcome to purchase your tickets online & we can check you in virtually if you choose to visit us that day. Just keep in mind, that your visit will consist of ONLY the Drive-Thru; No petting zoo, restrooms, handwashing, or gift shop experience will be available.

Animals in .5 strikes again… 😭😭
The true definition of CUTENESS.

🧠 Did you know that there is actually a difference in temperature between our ’s white and black stripes? The white stripes can be up to 18 degrees cooler than the black stripes!! They also use those stripes to camouflage themselves in the tall grasses that they roam.

How neat is that?? Are zebras one of your favorites, too?? 🦓

This is a new definition of sack lunch… 🥪🥪🥪

Our give us a run for our money in terms of their enrichment. But, this is always a fun AND effective one! These guys TEAR into a clean paper sack for their favorite snacks, encouraging their natural foraging, digging & chewing behaviors. 🍎🥕🥔

One thing we can say about these guys is that they LOVE all sorts of produce, unlike your kids we’re sure… 🤣

🚨 EMERGENCY NOTICE 🚨

THE ZOO IS CLOSED THIS MORNING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Everyone & all animals are currently safe - but, please keep our family and business in your prayers. We will update you guys as soon as we can!

UPDATE as of 9am: We had an overnight burglary & their vehicle is still on the property. We are unsure of the perpetrator’s location and just want to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors.

UPDATE as of 9:25am: WELL WE KNOW WHY HIS VEHICLE IS STILL HERE, BC HE STOLE OURS! Our 2020 White Dodge Dually was stolen in the early hours of Saturday morning. It’s plastered in ERZ stickers w/ the license plate 1UR974.

We have attached a photo of the truck. Local friends, we need YOU! Please contact us at (830)868-4357 or Blanco Co. Sheriff Department at (830)868-7104 if you happen to see anything.

But, at least we are all safe and so are our animals. Thank you, Jesus. 🙌🏼

During this time, the boys become extremely excited and can be found defending their territory and ladies. They rub their antlers on any and every thing: the ground, trees, weeds, fences, buildings, cars… you name it!! 👀These dudes seem to be carrying their mischief with them… 🤣🤣 Come out to see us for a crazy experience this holiday break!
