Don't get caught off guard by random fireworks, it's that time of the year. Pets can get spooked and run away at any given moment. Usually there is no warning when someone will set them off, it could be at 2am or when you least expect it. Stay extra vigilant and make sure your pet is on a leash, in a fenced in yard, or inside the house.

The warmer days here, please take some extra caution with your pets. Before going on a walk check the pavement by using the back of your hand. If you can tolerate the heat for 5 seconds, you should be good for a walk. Don't leave your pets in the car unless the air conditioner is running. Car interior temperatures can go up very quickly (even with the windows cracked) and can surpass the outside temperature in only a few minutes. Also make sure they have fresh clean water available.
