Harlem Equestrian is looking for help on the farm.

Barn Assistant- part time 2-4 days per week. 6-8 hours per day.
Duties include: stall cleaning, cleaning water buckets and troughs, filling hay nets, general cleaning.
Requirements: A love for horses, hard worker, and a great attitude, and reliable. Knowledge of driving a small tractor a plus.
Pay is commensurate with experience.

What a day!
Harlem equestrian center hosted it inaugural Spooktacular event today,

We would like to thank all who have made it possible.
We are thankful for the riders and horses who came, some from as far as Findlay, to enjoy the beautiful farm, challenge their horses to friendly obstacles, and meet new faces.
We are thankful for the owners and staff of the farm opening their beautiful piece of land and welcoming all.
And, of course, we are thankful for all the volunteers who stepped up and helped in every way they could. So many to thank.
We all know that without riders, horses, owners, staff, and volunteers… Our event would not have been a success.
We saw smiles, hugs, laughing, horsemanship, new friendships…
And, the full colors wear in full display, especially when the sun came out.

We personally want to thank Erika, Emmah, Rachel, Kate, Kierra, Ean, Sarah, Janice, Rick, Amy, Natalie, Anne Claire and Dan. Without your help, none of this event would have been possible!

A 2.5-mile trail is with trail obstacles along the way to challenge you and your horses.
Come enjoy the beautiful farm, the overwhelming fall colors, and the challenges along the way.

It’s been a wet but fun day prepping for our first event this weekend. We couldn’t have done it without these lovely assistants! Though today was rainy, the ground is solid, and the weather looks great for Sunday! We can’t wait to share the scenery and fall weather with all our visitors.

And don’t worry, Mac and Zeke were paid with all the snuggles for their hard work!

Stay tuned! We aren’t too far away from re opening the water complex! We hope to open this weekend. The intermediate bank will be closed for the year but the rest will be open for schooling once it is filled. Last step this year is landscaping! Come check out this amazing footing in our “Bahama Blue” complex!

Our resident, Romeo, came home late this evening from his first rated trial. After being a good boy all weekend he was happy to ruin his “show clothes” and head back to his big pasture. Welcome home Romeo. Congratulations to Symone. Also congratulations to Sarah and Ralphie at NEST this weekend! We didn’t get video of his roll but it was just as adorable!

Our always expressive resident mini is loving night turnout. Under the fans today, we were lucky enough to catch this clip of him having the best dream! Thanks Truman for today’s dose of cuteness.

We’re branching out into the dressage ring this weekend!! Good luck to Natalie and Cooper in their intro and training level tests and Zak and Ollie (video) in their training level and first level tests!!

Baby Horse Harley is really starting to become something special

A few months ago we decided to give Harley a few months more to grow and mature before putting him in serious training. At barely 4 there was no need to rush him when he was telling us he wasn’t quite ready. A few weeks ago we brought him back into work. We started with working on transitions on the lunge line, and long lining....as well as some MUCH needed work on ground manners. This week our wonderful working student bravely agreed to be the first to do more than sit on him and get right back off. We’re looking forward to seeing his continued progress this summer!
