Color is coming in! Here's an updated pic of mama too - she's roan so she will lighten with age until she's eventually pure white. None of the babies should be roan however.

We're excited to finally introduce Arzu! This is a young hairless female from Moondance Tails who we picked up when Fayrie's oldest litter came home recently. We're very excited to begin offering hairless in 2025 and couldn't be happier with her ๐Ÿ’–

2 boys 7 girls - we're leaving Fayrie alone for the first few days to make sure she remains on her nest this time. If she doesn't, at least we have a few other nursing mamas in house that should be able to take them on.

There's quite a story behind these four sweethearts...

Fayrie and Mortana both gave birth the same day. Mortana decided she did not want to be a mother and abandoned her nest. In an attempt to save her litter, we tried swapping her babies in with Fayrie and giving Fayrie's nest to Mortana, since they were warm and more lively. Instead of the moms adopting the other litters, both moms decided to reject ๐Ÿ˜ž

By 24hrs old all 17 babies were cold and hungry. In a final bid to save them, we took everyone to Moondance Tails for fostering. They had a couple moms with slightly older litters that took in the babies, giving them a small chance at survival.

Tiny newborns have a hard time competing with well-fed 2 week olds, and they faced another challenge when the does decided to wean when the older litters were ready, but before the baby babies were old enough.

By some miracle, we have four survivors who are small but mighty!

We assume all four are from Fayrie, since they were fed for their first 12hrs and would have been stronger than Mortana's littles. There is no way to know for sure however on the two that did not get the downunder gene. We're just happy they're alive and well and home once more!
