Mortana has 6 in her 2nd and final litter, which means she is able to take a few from Fayrie. Mom and babies all look great!

15 beans born today! A few aren't looking great so she may lose those, but the rest are perfect. Since she had so many, 4 were fostered off to Mortana to help ease mama's load

Two senior ladies are iso a new forever home with other female rats that they can be friends with. Their current family is about to lose the 3rd lady in their group and these two need a moderator to get along with each other. Is anyone interested? Message for more info!

Pretty babies!

This pairing was to prove the sire's color. Since he turned out to be beige, this litter isn't necessary for continued genetics and therefore all 6 females will most likely be made available. There are 2 standard coat and 4 teddy rex.

Babies!!

There are 2 boys and 2 girls. Was really hoping for a larger litter, but at least everyone is healthy. The girls will be retained to continue the line, but the boys will likely be made available.

Medicine for Montana, day 4. Does she look ashamed? Of course not

Step one: apply medicine to mouth
Step two: snuggles for 5 minutes waiting for her to swallow
Step three: give up on waiting and wipe meds all over rat
Step four: take pictures for science

How are these two boys still available?? 😍 They're soooo sweet, curious, bold, and the silvermane quality on both is absolutely to die for! 8 weeks old today and ready to go 💙🩵

This is a very cute face. This is also a very angry face of a very lucky rat who does not appreciate her life saving meds. Thise face now fights with us twice a day and will continue to fight for the next week. It's going to be a long week 😅

Montana delivered her last pup during the night and seems much more comfortable now. She's on a high dose of antibiotics to hopefully stave off infection, and is enjoying snuggles with her buddies while she recovers.

She will not be rebred as her risk for complications is too high. Assuming she makes a full recovery, she will be offered to a pet home once there are other available females to keep her company. She's not out of the woods yet but things for her are looking promising 🩷

No babies for Montana. She went into labor but is experiencing complications. At this point we're just doing what we can to help her deliver the remaining pups so she hopefully doesn't go into sepsis. Keep her in your thoughts ❤️

6 dwarfs and only one standard 😲🤩 Also, misspoke in the video as there are 3 girls total, not 2

Both girls will most likely be staying here. The boys should all be available however!

Grabbed a quick video for MaLisa to show temperaments. Looks like the most shy of this bunch is the blazed fawn who still seems a happy camper. If anyone else would like video of specific babies just say so!

This litter is doing very well overall! Babies are growing and healthy, and mama is doing a great job with them. However, one little lady got ahead of herself and opened an eye prematurely. This is a serious complication as she does not yet have the reflex to blink. We're doing all we can to keep the eye moist and medicated to help it heal from the trauma it's already sustained while preventing further injury. She may lose her vision or even the eye itself, but with luck and diligence hopefully this is something she can pull through. She is a very good patient and loves napping while being held. She's quite a dramatic napper too! 🩷

These babies are almost perfect! And they're much less flighty than their mama's litter so lots of hope here that they'll turn out awesome 2 dwarf boys 1 standard boy 2 dwarf girls 3 standard girls
