Pumpkin is the sweetest girl.. it’s going to be so hard to let her leave. We know her perfect home is out there but she can stay and snuggle on the couch as long as she needs.

What a day..

Started with leaving at 9:30 for the adoption event.. left a little after 2.. came home and…
🧡Stray surrender of O’Neill who’s finder did what we wish every finder would do and vet him through a low cost clinic and got him started on meds! This love bug of a boy went right to winning our hearts by reaching through the cage for face kisses.
🧡Lindsey was adopted! He’s going to have the best life
🧡 Buttercup and Willie got adopted together!! They originally came for one and fell in love with both. 🥹 we are so glad Buttercup finally got her home and it’s going to be so weird without her and Willie greeting us every day.. but this is what it’s all about.
🧡Stevie was released back to her colony… I’m not ready to think about it..
🧡And then Nugget came to us as another Southmont cat that apparently had been wondering around for a few months and was covered in ticks, scabs and fleas with a big wound on his arm. It feels like an abscess is forming next to it so we are looking for assistance for someone to drop off at Cambria on Monday or Tuesday. I’m very nervous of male colony cats with scars having bad health … so lots of love to him…

Don’t let this sweet face fool you. Stevie is just not interested in being a house cat. She has been with us for over 6 weeks and while we of all people understand the time it takes to acclimate for a cat, she hates it here. She slinks around the room, hides and hisses/ swats at us when we approach. She also had bitten 2 people when first trapped so we knew we were up against a fiesty one.

We are planning to do our first ever release this weekend.. it breaks our heart to release cats we hoped we could home. But this is the reality of the overpopulation crisis - there are just too many cats ignored and mistreated for too long who find humans to be terrifying rather than safe. She is simply, a feral girl. And there are plenty of neighbors who feed in this area as well so she will be taken care of.

POV: your foster mommy is so obsessed with you you only have current pictures WITH her 🙄

Willie (Willburt when he’s being a bad kitty!) just got fixed yesterday! He has incredibly mild vision impairments from ulcers when he was a teeny tiny baby but he doesn’t typically miss when playing or bopping other kitties! He occasionally misses the steps in the cat tower he’s in if he’s really into whatever victim he currently has.

He does seem to have herpes which can be managed with 2-3x a week supplement of l-lysine. We purchase ours on Amazon for $10 that lasts all of our cats a very very very long time. He just may be more susceptible to the sniffles!

Dear “A Cat Lover” - I’m going to find you and give you a big squeeze. This is the second time recently we’ve had a large order under that name sent to our house. Literally crawled around it to get on my front porch!

Our delivery driver probably is not the biggest fan of us anymore 😅 but we are so thankful! Litter is the #1 item we need (aside from monetary donations) and honestly, people hate to donate it so I barely ever request it as a donation. We buy it 9 times out of 10 ourselves in bulk from Tractor Supply.

Looks like we get to take a break from being Tractor Supply regulars for a bit! And the kitties get some high quality food mixed in and we restock some of our frequently used items! We are continually blessed by all you cat lovers 🧡

Don’t feel bad for Lyric still being in a cage, her hammock is there and there’s no where else she would rather be 💭 this silly girl will even pick up toys and carry them into the hammock with her!

She leaves only to eat and go potty so her next home will definitely need to buy her a hammock bed! And if anyone wanted to donate one off Amazon to us to send with her, the link is below!

SEVEN little lives being changed today. Never do they have to run from the other cats or dogs when being chased in heat. Risk their lives for babies. Contribute to the overpopulation crisis. We are so thankful for Allegheny Spay and Neuter Clinic/Animal Welfare Council of the Alleghenies and the hard but important work they do. And Johnstown Animal Welfare Society for letting us run the clinic through them which makes substantial work on their treasurer!
