They need some help!!

Loudoun County Animal Services (LCAS) is seeking information from the public as part of an investigation into animals that were found living in unsafe conditions in a Middleburg residence.

The investigation began on July 25, 2024, after LCAS received a complaint regarding a home on Sam Fred Road. Humane Law Enforcement Officers found a number of deceased dogs as well as 24 dogs and cats living in conditions that posed an immediate threat to their life, health and safety.

The residence has housed “White Columns K-9 Training” and “White Columns Australian Shepherds” and also has served as a pet boarding facility. LCAS is seeking information from anyone who may have sold dogs to or adopted dogs from the owner of this facility, or whose animals were being boarded at the residence. Anyone with information may call 703-777-0406 and ask to speak with a Humane Law Enforcement Officer or send an email to LCAS.

All animals found in the home are currently being held by LCAS pending a custody hearing in Loudoun County General District Court scheduled for Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. An investigation is ongoing.

To our New & Current Customers this is a policy update August 2024.
Boarding:
• VACCINATIONS Please make sure your vaccinations are up to date and we have current copies.
• Also all vaccinations must be sent 2 weeks prior to any stay, new and current customers.
That includes the following 4 vaccinations*:
#1. Kennel Cough (Bordetella) - this vaccination must be asked for.
#2. Leptospirosis
#3. Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo & Parainfluenza
#4. Rabies
*Must have Rabies Vaccination Certificate (separate paper came with metal tag)
*We must have a copy on file for the Dog Law Officer or fines will be issued to us and the owner.
*We do NOT accept puppy pamphlets or owner administered vaccinations.
• 9AM RULE Please be advised of the 9am Rule; Picking your pet up in the morning before 9:00am you will not be charged for that day. This is a courtesy please don’t abuse it.
• CANCELLATIONS must be made 72 hours in advance (because there is a waiting list) or there will be a fee of $50 per dog or cat, so please cancel in the time asked. Deposits will NOT be refunded if not done 72 hours prior to the reservation.
• No Call No Shows will be charged $50 per dog or cat & will be added to your account.
• Early Pickups – If prior notice is not given before check in you will be charged for the remainder of the dates reserved.
• All dogs must be spayed or neutered, unless not old enough
• We are no longer providing food but we do have everything else, beds, blankets, toys & bowls.
• F***l Removal Fee of $3.00 per visit
Grooming:
• The following vaccinations are required for grooming are the same as boarding (refer to above)*:
• For all grooming appointments there will be a fee of $40 per dog or cat if cancellation is not done 48 hours in advance.
• Early Pickups Regarding Boarding-if you pick up early we may not be able to groom your pet, we have a set schedule for grooming.

We will tell you at the time of the reservation/appointment if updated vaccinations are needed for your pet, records are required 2 weeks prior to your pet’s stay/appt. They can be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off either in drop box outside to the right of the doors or directly to us during business hours.

If we do not receive the records by the time allotted you will be contacted and your reservation/appt will be cancelled.
We do understand that people get busy, however so are we and we have to keep things running smoothly for all of our clients and employees. Making extra phone calls and chasing people down, takes away from our care and attention of the furry clients currently here. So please be respectful of our policies.

Price Change will be in effect August 19th, 2024
*Grooming prices usually vary based on animal condition and owner behavior, however for all current customers there will be a $5.00 increase. Also if you need your dog to be done by a certain time please let us know 24 hours prior to the appointment or there will be no guarantee we can accommodate.

August 19th, 2024 NEW Boarding Rates:
1-30lbs. $31.00 per day
31-80lbs. $32.00 per day
81+ lbs. $33.00 per day
All Dogs must have their vaccinations administered by a veterinarian 2 weeks prior to any boarding stay or grooming visit, any questions please let us know. 814-288-5241
