OLD FASHIONED SOUR CREAM CAKE DONUTS
Having a hot doughnut and a warm mug of coffee on a lazy weekend morning is the best thing ever. That must be paradise on earth because it sounds amazing to me. And without a doubt, my all-time favorite doughnuts are the classic ones made with sour cream. The fact that these doughnuts do not contain yeast is one of the many reasons why they are so delicious. In only one hour, you can make this whole recipe. That means you are just one hour away from the donuts made in the traditional way that are the cakeiest and most delicious ever.
THESE ARE THE INGREDIENTS NEEDED TO MAKE THE DOUGH OF THE DONUT:
2½ Cups.Of sifted flour.
½ Cup.Of granulated sugar.
¼ Cup.Of brown sugar.
1½ Tsp.Of baking powder.
½ Tsp.Of cinnamon powder.
2 large eggs.
½ Cup.Of sour cream.
4 Tbsp.Of unsalted butter melted.
1 Tsp.Of vanilla extract.
Vegetable oil for frying.
A pinch of salt.
FOR MAKING THE GLAZE; YOU’LL NEED THESE INGREDIENTS:
3 Cups.Of powdered sugar.
3 Tbsp.Of unsalted butter.
2 Tbsp.Of cold coffee.
1 Tbsp.Of heavy cream.
1 Tsp.Of vanilla.
PREPARATION:
1st Step – In the bowl of a stand mixer, thoroughly incorporate all the dry ingredients. In a small bowl, combine vanilla, eggs, and sour cream with a whisk.
2nd Step – Combine the wet and dry ingredients in a mixing bowl, and blend on low speed using the paddle. After adding the melted butter continue to combine the ingredients until a soft cookie dough forms, cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for half an hour.
3rd Step – Roll out the dough to approximately 3/4 inch thickness on a well-floured surface “thick. Using a 3 1/2-inch floured “Form as many circles as possible from the dough using a circle cutter and lay them on a baking sheet coated with parchment paper.
4th Step – Repeat this process until all of the dough has been used up; gather the leftover pieces of dough, put them back together, and continue. Using a 1 “Using a circular cutter, remove the center of each doughnut and lay it on the tray. Refrigerate doughnuts for 15 minutes.

8th Step – To prepare the glaze, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until a little golden brown, then take it off the heat and let it cool a little.
9th Step – In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine all of the remaining ingredients. Dip the donuts in the glaze while they are still warm and return them to the wire rack. After that, dip each doughnut hole in the glaze and set them aside to dry before serving. Serve while it’s still a bit warm.
