Garter snake & gecko enthusiast! Working my hardest to provide you the best π navy vet & future CVT
Chopped it and left it for dead..... and just to spite me, it decided to try life again π
Found 3 babies today π unexpected, but still very cute π₯Ήπ₯°
I have earned a break! 2 weeks of no school, looking forward to enjoying some summer βοΈπ
Took a few days to decompress and catch up on stuff that has been put on the back burner. Did alright this time around, but im still one step closer to my goal of CVT!
It's a wrap Tinley Park March 2024! What a great weekend, until next time ππ
Amazing Saturday at Tinley Park! Meeting legends and seeing familiar facesπ₯° We even won a few items at the auction! See you again tomorrow for the final day.
I've been busy and keeping focus, and the reward is another successful term and 1st semester in the books! 1 step closer to the end goal π π
Baby checkered garter snake feeding frenzy! Tilapia was on the menu π
1 of the 2 babies made it out of the egg! I have a baby oedura monilis (Australian velvet gecko) π
Unfortunately the second egg did not develop properly, and although the baby was fully formed, the yolk and fluid had solidified at some point and it died in the egg.
Hey! I know I've been dark and haven't been posting at all, but term 1 of my school has ended and I am one step closer to my goal of becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician!
Santa's reindeer made a stop at my school today! Elsa and Kringle were the absolute cutest π I did not get to pet, but one day once I'm a CVT I will get a chance to do so π€
Being up and feeding geckos at 4 am has its benefits π
Doing her best Loki impersonation lol. Little late for Halloween but I guess better late than never.
The weather continued and the kids got to trick or treat in the snow. π₯Άπ₯Ά
I have started an accelerated program, and the end goal is to be a certified veterinary technician! For the next 18 months I am going to be working hard and making sacrifices to make this dream a reality.
I haven't introduced her yet, but this is the leachianus gecko I got in the gecko collection back in March. The name she came with is "Toffee."
I'm really needing to take this girl out more and handle her. It's been several months of me just doing food, water, and quick wellness checks with no extended handling. She is very stressed and upset with me that I did take her out of her "safe" place last night. Moving forward with baby steps, I am going to be getting her used to being handled again.
Oedura monilis (Australian velvet gecko) dropped a set of eggs! Last baby didn't make it out of the egg, so I'm very hopeful for this round of eggs.
If I get really excited that I received a sticker from you, it's because of this. I take the time and turn the stickers I get into magnets to display and let my kids "play" with them. Right now, it's the fridge but as the collection grows, any magnetic surface is fair game π
And those cute 3d printed animals that sit flat/flush on a surface get small magnets and turned into fridge critters
I cannot wait to try out this magnetic feeding ledge from !
What an amazing weekend! So many amazing people with so many amazing animals. I am so happy I got to talk to some of the breeders who I look up to in the industry and making new friends in the process. I had a great time catching up with friends and people who I've had the privilege of getting to know rhese last few years. Thank you all so much for making this such a memorable and special weekend.
With day 2 of NARBC Tinley in the books, this was my amazing find from π welcome to the Garden eurydactylodes agricolae and eurydactylodes vieillardi.
See you all again tomorrow for final day at the October 2023 NARBC Tinley Park π₯°
This stunning super dalmatian at ! π
This GIANT 3D printed gecko is as big as my 3 year old daughter! And is up for grabs at the USARK auction tonight at NARBC Tinley Park!
Tinley is next weekend! Come join us and check out one of the most anticipated reptile expos around ππ
Checking things out and politely asking for bugs π₯Ί
It's taken way too long, but i finally have my garters set up in their display enclosure. I dream about making this a bioactive in the future, once we have our reptile rooms set up and this will have a more permanent place in the house.
Remember those mourning gecko eggs from 105 days ago? Probably not.... BUT THEY FINALLY HATCHED!!!
*ALERT* unsafe/inhumane conditions. This individual hosted an expo with NO AC or fans with Temps well above 90Β°F. Vendors left for the safety of their animals. There was an incident where police got involved as well! Please share with everyone you can and make him famous so this doesn't happen again.
Had a great weekend at Schaumburg! Met so many amazing people and saw so many beautiful animals. We came home with treasures and great memories.
Yesterday was a little bit of a misadventure. Husband got chewed on by Wrath my larger Florida Blue garter while helping me find an escaped garter baby. And as you can see, garters do leave a good-sized bite behind once they decide to latch on
Good news we found the baby, and it was nowhere near the other garters. It was, in fact, in another room!

Sorry I didn't post this yesterday as promised π₯ I've been fighting off some kind of ick. But story time! For almost 2 years I've been looking for a male florida blue garter, Thamnophis sirtalis similis, and now I finally have one! Thank you @snekomastyx for this little dude. I can't wait to be producing similis of my own for you all! #thamnophis #thamnophissirtalissimilis #gartersnakelove #gartersnake #floridabluegartersnake #gartersnakesofinstagram
Feeding the most polite and gentlest geckos in my collection, my Oedura species. My youngest daughter in the background, also hunting down dubia roaches to feed to the geckos, is really the highlight of this video π₯Ίπ₯° #velvetgecko #oedura #polite #handfed #cutereptile #cutegecko #geckolove #geckooftheday #geckoofinstagram #bugs #dubia #dubiaroaches #originalaudio
Well it finally happened... This psyco escaped and is now loose in the house. Shortly after this was taken I opened his enclosure to mist down(stupid move after this display i know) and Bonk did what he does and made a successful break for it. Here's hoping he will be spotted in the near future. #goldengecko #lostreptile #crazygecko #imdumb
