Meet Wilbur – our little muppet-looking doodle mix with the sweetest soul and the saddest backstory. Estimated to be around 1 year old, Wilbur was heartbreakingly left behind in a small crate at a hotel, abandoned without a second thought. It’s clear the world hasn’t been kind to him... but we’re determined to change that. ❤️

Wilbur is an absolute sweetheart who just wants a cozy spot on your couch, a soft blanket, and a human to show him the love he’s been missing. He’s calm, gentle, and gives the most heart-melting eyes you’ve ever seen. Once he trusts you, he’s a total velcro dog—loyal, snuggly, and full of love.

🛋️ What Wilbur Needs:

A quiet foster home where he can decompress and feel safe.
A yard would be amazing for him—he feels happiest in open spaces.
No small children (he deserves a calm space to build confidence).
Dog-friendly, though he’s a bit skittish with some dogs, likely due to past trauma. A slow introduction is key.
Still learning leash manners, but he’s very smart and willing to learn with a little patience.
We know Wilbur is going to blossom into the most incredible companion—he just needs a chance. The kennel is no place for a sensitive, loving boy like him, and we are desperate to get him into a home where he can thrive.

🙏 Please—be the one to show Wilbur that not all humans leave. He needs a soft place to land, someone to whisper that he’s safe now, and give him the stability he so deserves.

Meet Ricky — aka Ricardo, aka Ricky-Roo!
This 8-week-old little lovebug is as adorable as they come. With his charming looks and even bigger personality, Ricky is the kind of kitten that steals your heart the moment you meet him. He’s got a perfect mix of playful energy and affectionate snuggles, making him the ultimate kitten companion.

Ricky is what we like to call a “complete kitten.” He spends his mornings zooming around the house, chasing toys, wrestling with his siblings, and exploring every nook and cranny like the brave little adventurer he is. But when it’s time to rest, Ricky finds the coziest spot to curl up in and turns on his loud little purr motor, happily snoozing the afternoon away.

This sweet boy is incredibly loving and social. He adores his siblings and would love to have a furry friend in his forever home—whether it's one of his brothers or sisters, or another friendly pet. Ricky is also very people-oriented and would do great in a home where he’ll get lots of attention, cuddles, and playtime. He’s just one of those kittens who fits right into your heart and home.

After being picked by Joliet Township Animal Control as a dumped dog (along with 2 other coonhounds that we worked hard at trapping) they asked if we could help. He was shutting down with them, severely underweight, covered in fleas, terrible skin irritation, p*e stained fur and incredibly terrified of humans, Hazy has spent 8 months in foster care with us and his foster mom (aka fake momma). When he was finally healthy, he had minimal applications and not anyone willing to step up and give him a chance to become the amazing dog his foster family became to love. Post after post pleading someone to just give him a chance. Today that finally all changed. Hazy, the hound dog, has finally found his forever home and his awesome new family. He has 2 hound (Treewalker) fur siblings and human mom and dad that understand his slow and steady needs. When his foster mom met with them, she knew this was home for him. In true Hazy fashion, he was okay with his new mom but still reserved about his new dad. We cannot be happier for him and look forward to updates of him settling in.

His fake momma wants everyone to know that she is going to miss him something awful but rest assured, she knows this is best. She now has an open spot to save another life. ❤️🐶❤️

It’s statistically proven they are overlooked and thier adoption numbers are far lower. We cannot figure it out- they are the best! 🏆

Meet Momma Evee!

This gorgeous girl is only about 2 years old and was heartbreakingly surrendered to animal control while pregnant. Thankfully, we were able to give her a soft landing where she safely raised her babies—who are now almost all adopted. And now, it’s Evee’s turn to shine!

Evee is an absolute gem. She has a sleek, shiny black coat and a heart as sweet as they come. She’s loving, gentle, and eager to please—truly a people dog who hasn’t met a human she doesn’t adore.

Evee is dog-friendly with proper introductions and is currently in a foster home with cats. While she occasionally tries to playfully chase them, she’s easily redirected and likely just wants to be part of the fun. She’s still a young pup herself and is just now starting to enjoy life outside of motherhood.

She’s house-trained, kennel-trained, and very food motivated. Evee knows how to give paw, adores belly rubs, and is always up for a game of fetch! One of her favorite pastimes is proudly running around with a stuffed toy in her mouth—she doesn’t chew it, just loves carrying it around like a prize.

Evee walks nicely on a leash, enjoys car rides, and will happily snuggle up next to you on the couch. She has the sweetest little moans when you’re petting her, and she’ll roll over for belly rubs with the most trusting heart.

We know black dogs often get overlooked, but we promise—this sweet girl is truly something special. Let’s help Momma Evee find the loving forever home she’s waited so patiently for.

Friends.. This information is very important to know.!!! When you see a dirty cat.. This is important information to know, why cats look dirty.

🔺 Cats can resist hunger for up to a week on average, but no more than 2-3 days in case of thirst.

🔺 Cats are usually very clean, they are groomed several times a day, if you see a cat that is not clean, it is DEHYDRATED and has been so for many days.

Their saliva glands are not functioning properly, because they require moisture.!!!.

🔺 Please, if you see a stray kitten, apparently dirty, do not run, or look at it with disgust, it has already had difficult days.. In which I probably haven't eaten or drank any water for a long time!!!. If you don't like cats, express kindness out of compassion.!!

🔺 For humanity, empathy, and love for your neighbor, bring food and above all a container with WATER. It's not easy being thirsty and hungry and not being able to say a word! 💔🥺

This year kitten season did not slow down. We have already had 3 litters of kittens, so far all are healthy and growing quickly. We need help from our supporters though. Remeber the 3 parvo puppies that made it!!

Well miss Ember was adooted and is back. Her adopters became severly allergic. She is a fun, outgoing puppy looking for her own family. She already knows how to sit, is kennel trained, and working on potty training.

Wilbur is a 1 year old neutered male shepdoodle. looking for a URGENT foster home. He is very sweet, and gentle. He does good with slow introduction with other dogs. He likes to chase cats but is easily corrected. He would do best in a calm home with older kids.

He is stuck in boarding and would really like to be in a home especially with a fenced yard to enjoy the nice weather coming.

He was left in a small kennel in a hotel room abandoned with multiple other animals. He needs a fresh start. If you are willing to meet him please reach out to us. He would appreciate it!
