All proceeds help cover veterinary care, food, shelter and more for our amazing second-chance pups waiting for their forever homes.

Registration is $30 per person (kids and dogs are free), you'll have access to our run/walk, and receive bandanas for each of your dogs. 🐾 We'll also have grilled food, live entertainment and local vendors. ❤️

Fall is just a few days away! 🍁 Keep these pet health and safety tips in mind over the coming weeks. ➡️

🍂🐾 Ticks and mosquitos don't quit in early fall. Continue your pets' prevention at least until the first frost.

🍂🐾 Fall allergies aren't just for humans. Signs of ragweed allergies in dogs include itchy skin, watery eyes and paw licking.

🍂🐾 Watch out for mushrooms. Many mushrooms that pop up after rain are toxic if consumed.

🍂🐾 If your dogs spend time near ponds and lakes, be cautious of blue-green algae. It's still a risk on warmer fall days.

We’ve had some questions about our rescue since our last video. Hopeful Tails Animal Rescue is a 501c3 based out of Joliet, IL. We’ve been saving dogs for over 10 years, and that’s all thanks to our generous and passionate community of supporters!

We are not funded by the government, which does make keeping our doors open a near constant challenge. As Kristin shared, we love rescuing Mama dogs and babies. We have special spaces for them in our building to relax and recuperate.
