As Thanksgiving arrives, I find myself looking back over the years, and it’s hard not to get emotional. In 1999, when I started this little dream with 13 clients, I had no idea what I was truly building. I thought I was starting a small pet-care business. I didn’t realize I was starting a family. I didn’t realize I was planting the seeds of something that would grow into a community of people and pets who would change my life in ways I never could have imagined.
Camp Grace didn’t become what it is because of me alone — it became what it is because of you. Every single client who chose to trust us, every dog who ran through our doors with excitement, every person who recommended us to a friend… you all helped shape something beautiful. You helped build a place where dogs are loved fiercely, where people connect deeply, where stories intertwine and memories are made in the simplest moments — a wagging tail, a goodbye kiss, a warm welcome.
I look at our team today — this incredible group of people who pour their whole hearts into Camp Grace — and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. They love your dogs like their own. They show up with dedication, compassion, and joy that can’t be taught. Together, we’ve created something I never dared dream was possible: a place where love is the backbone of everything.
I’m also so grateful for the friendships and professional connections we’ve made along the way — groomers, trainers, vets, partners, and colleagues who have helped us learn, grow, and dream bigger. Camp Grace has so many moving parts now, so many layers, but every single one of them is held together by the same thing: love. Real, honest, wholehearted love.
To our clients — you are not just customers to us. You are part of our story. You are part of our family. You’ve allowed Camp Grace to become something far greater than a business, and I will never take that for granted. Thank you for standing with us, believing in us, and walking this journey with us. Thank you for letting us love your dogs.
