Today we wish our very own, very precious, Ashley, a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Ashley has been with us for several years, and her efforts (along with her small team) have taken CCHS to the next level! As Christmas quickly approaches we are looking to decorate our shelter for Christmas this week which includes a Christmas tree for our pets with ornaments and string lights.
If anyone has a spare "fake" Christmas tree they are not in need of and would be willing to donate it to our shelter that would be wonderful! unfortunately, our Christmas tree from last year did not survive our flood we had at the beginning of the year. We are also in need of decorations, ornaments and string lights, so if you are parting ways with any of these items we will gladly accept them! If you donate after hours you may places items in our donation bin by the front door! We like for our pets to enjoy Christmas lights and the spirit this time of the year offers!!! Lets make it a very merry Critter Christmas ! ❤️🎄🐾🐶🐱

MEET "SQUISH"

Squish is a 8 month old female gray and white domestic longhair. Squish approximate birthdate 04/06/2024.

Squish has been completed vetted which includes microchipping, spayed, ALL current and up to date vaccinations, rabies vaccination, Combo tested for feline leukemia and aids (negative test result), completed deworming and flea prevention.

Squish was surrendered to us along side her siblings and mom.

Squish is a beautiful longhair kitty! She is quiet and loves snack time! She is a sweet girl and does love to be petted. She is somewhat timid but loves interaction and quality time spent. She is a chill cat and does well with other animals and children.

"MEET PEACHES"

Peaches is a 8 month old female calico. Peaches approximate date of birth is 04/24/2024.

Peaches is been completed vetted which includes microchipping, spayed, ALL current and up to date vaccinations, rabies vaccination, combo tested for feline leukemia and aids (negative test result), completed deworming and flea prevention.

Peaches was rescued by us and brought into our shelter from another shelter that had her on a list to be euthanized due to her extensive injuries as a kitten. She was so tiny and yet so full of life and was thriving to live despite her unknown injuries. Unfortunately, She does have a shattered arm and elbow that is unrepairable and she will never be able to recover from that blunt injury. It is unknown how she received the injury, but she does not let that stop her mobility. She is very active and actually the fastest cat in our shelter office! She was originally scheduled to have the arm amputated but she uses it to help her navigate and help her along her way. She is a very active kitten and is super sweet. She loves snacks and laying with the other kitties! She deserves the best! She gets along well with other pets and children.
Peaches is ready to be adopted into her forever loving home and her health is in good standing... her former injuries do not affect her quality of life or the length on it. Ella is a 5 month old female tuxedo domestic shorthair. Ella approximate birthdate is 07/03/2024.

Ella has been completed vetted which includes microchipping, spayed, ALL current and up to date vaccinations, rabies vaccination, combo testing for feline leukemia and aids( negative test result) completed deworming and flea prevention.

Ella was surrendered to the shelter as a stray.

Ella is a sweet girl that really loves to cuddle! She likes sitting with you at all times and makes a great little companion! One of her favorite things to do is sit on the desk and help out all while giving lots of kitty cuddles! She is very affectionate! She gets along well with other animals and children! We think she would make a great addition to your home and family!

Wishbone is a 1 year old female tri-color (white, black and brown) Jack Russell Terrier. Wishbone approximate birthdate is 06/25/2023.

Wishbone has been completely vetted which includes microchipping, spayed, ALL current and up to date vaccinations, rabies vaccination, completed deworming and heartworm test and prevention.

Wishbone was surrendered to us by an owner that could no longer care for her.

Wishbone is very smart, very active as your typical Jack Russell Terrier is and loves to play. She enjoys spending time with her shelter friends playing in our dog yard and likes to sit in your lap for pets. Wishbone does great with other dogs and children. Wishbone would make a Great addition to your home and family.

Leo is in the process of being completely vetted which includes microchipping, neutering, ALL current and up to date vaccinations, rabies vaccinations, completed deworming and heartworm test and prevention.

Leo was surrendered to us by an owner who could no longer keep him dur to lifestyle changes.

Hank is a 1 year old male black lab. Hank approximate birthdate is 10/02/2023.

Hank has been completely vetted which includes microchipping, neutering, ALL current and up to date vaccinations, rabies vaccination, completed deworming and heartworm test and prevention.

Hank was found abandon outside and surrendered to us by a volunteer.

Hank is a loving and sweet boy. He is very playful and loves playing with his other shelter friends. He likes to play with toys and cuddle. He gets along great with other animals and children. He would make a great addition to your family and home.

We had our annual Blessing of the Animals at the shelter this morning with Father Bennett from morrow First United Methodist church! We had the pleasure of having all of our beautiful animals blessed along side our shelter! Thank you so much for being apart of this special event! We are truly blessed being able to love these precious animals and take care of them. They are such a blessing to our life! ❤️✝️🐈‍⬛🐶

Please meet Elvira. We don't usually adopt out guinea pigs, but some jerk dumped her in our parking lot....forcing us to chase her around for several days, finally catching her this morning. I don't ever "give away" animals because I believe that's a dangerous practice, so there will be a $20 adoption fee. PLEASE someone come adopt Elvira....dogs and cats are Not a guinea pig's best friends!

Spotlight on CHER! Cher is a 4 month old Great Pyrenees mix. Not only is she absolutely beautiful, she has a wonderful personality also. She has been spayed and vetted. Come in and meet Cher and 5 of her siblings!
